The Daily Audio Bible iPhone App has released and we're excited to offer this resource free of charge to anyone in the world with the desire to listen to the Daily Audio Bible and WindFarm Radio Network. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
The DAB iPhone App 1.0 is exactly that....1.0. We expect the application to grow and develop over time but we've worked hard to get off to a stable and solid start. There are some limitations with this app quite frankly because AT&T and Apple have forced them. The application will not work with your 3G Cellular service. This is due to new limitations Apple has placed on applications that utilize the 3G Network of AT&T. Earlier applications that were previously approved are still allowed but newly developed apps must conform to a more rigid use of bandwidth. The App will work wherever WIFI is present and will allow you to easily listen to any of the Daily Audio Bible Podcast family as well as the WindFarm Radio Network. It's now all at your fingertips!
FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
Once the dust settles from this version of the app we will try to release an update that searches for WIFI and 3G connectivity. If WIFI is present the app will use it, if not it will connect to the 3G network. We're hoping that releasing this later will get it approved. If it doesn't we're forced into leaving the application as a WIFI only app or creating low bandwidth versions of the Daily Audio Bible and WindFarm Radio Network that will pass the bandwidth usage limitations. This would be a rather huge undertaking in production and deployment of the DAB therefore we'll need to consider all factors and sincerely pray about whether or not this is where God is leading us.
