Our wounds may be emotional. or psychological. Sometimes we feel trapped by a negative experience or excruciating pain. If we’re sick, experiencing brokenness or an inner wound, we know, dear God, You want to restore us back to health and wholeness right now. He put a stop to the devil’s work so that we would receive the opposite truths, that we would have life (a life that does not take away but adds) and that we would be abundant in our joy, abundant in our peace, and that our life would always overflow with His fullness. God doesn’t want us to carry stress, disease, anxiety, or pain because we weren’t designed to carry those things. He wants us to carry purpose, hope, love and joy. When Christ came to take our place, He was nailed to the cross to bear our disease so that He could give us a life of rest and ease because He cares for us.
