But suffering can make us forget. Our minds are sometimes overwhelmed with our present pain or the difficulties of surviving another day. To experience this unseen reality, we need to raise our eyes toward You and give thanks! Through faith, our hearts can be softened from one of griping and despair to one of thankfulness and gratitude. ✨✨✨✨✨❤️❤️✨✨✨✨✨ Thank You, gracious Lord, for giving us a grateful heart during our difficult journey! When we’re overwhelmed by our affliction, we may only be able to come up with a little gratitude, but we know it will be enough. Even a small amount of thankfulness can turn our hearts and heads toward You. Help us turn our thanks of small things like a sip of coffee into a praise for bigger gifts like the love You have for us! Dearest Loving Father, we humble ourselves before You praising Your Holy Name for You are a good, kind and compassionate Father! But even with that knowledge deep in our hearts, we sometimes cannot feel Your presence, especially in the midst of our suffering. We need to remember Your character, all the things we know to be true, and all the wonderful things You have done, not just in our own lives, but also in the lives of others throughout history and in the lives of those recorded in the Bible. ✨✨✨✨✨❤️❤️✨✨✨✨✨ Thank You, dear Lord, for giving us Your Word that we may spend time in it each day so we can learn more about You, Your character, and Your will for our life! It is a powerful tool that teaches us to trust You for You are a good, loving and sovereign God. During these times, we know whole heartedly that You are compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Help us to remember Your goodness!
