We hear it on the news, and we’ve read it in our history books. Throughout Scripture, we read about many people suffering, including Jesus Christ. So You have shown us this reality of life. But we still ask “Why?”. Why do people suffer? You could have stopped Satan from deceiving, stopped Adam and Eve from being deceived, or even stopped suffering altogether. But instead, You chose to use suffering to teach us how to love on each other in time of need and to love You. You also taught us our need for a Savior for our sins. It is through our freedom that makes learning these lessons possible. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Oh Lord, thank You for giving us free will and not making us robots. We know with our freedom, we can make mistakes, but You gave us a Savior and a Redeemer to give us a relationship with You. Thank You for letting us freely love You, and not forcing us to accept Your ways for we do so willingly. We have this hope that there will be a day when You will bring all evil to an end. In the meantime, we will cling to Your Beloved Son as our Savior through our trials. Dear Abba Father, we come into your presence with praise and thanksgiving in our hearts and on our lips for You are victorious in everything we have faced, are facing or will face! Sometimes we feel like we’ve been kicked in the head and left laying on the floor unable to move. Life is nothing like we expected. It feels like we are battling against a foe that is zapping our strength and changing our bodies without any consequences to be paid. The truth is that we are not facing an enemy made of flesh, but a spiritual one. We have a spiritual enemy working against us.
