Praying the LORD’s mighty hand is cradling you with His grace and love so that you are gaining more and more strength and healing every single day! ✨✨✨✨❤️❤️✨✨✨✨ Praying Psalm 29:11 over you today and always, my most beloved sister: “The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace.” ✨✨✨✨❤️❤️✨✨✨✨ The word peace means different things to different people. Some think of peace as the absence of war or troubles. Others think of peace as a beautiful and quiet place. But as children of God, neither you nor I limit our Father to His peace being the lack of chaos or just a place. God’s peace (shalom) includes wholeness, health, welfare, prosperity, safety, rest, harmony, and tranquility. This kind of peace could only come from God Himself. God wants us to have this kind of peace that is complete and powerful in our lives. ✨✨✨✨❤️❤️✨✨✨✨ Dear Father in Heaven, I come to You praising Your Holy Name for the faithfulness and kindness that You bestow on us each and every day. Please, dear Father, hear my prayer for You to bless my sister, Flora, with Your peace! Day 2 from a Devotional called “The Nativity” Isaiah’s Prophecy Miracles defy the laws of science. They operate outside of what we know and have experienced before. They are impossibilities that God makes possible. By design, miracles can only be explained as God’s doing.  The details that were prophesied about the coming King would be recognizable because of their miraculous nature. Isaiah’s prophecy, spoken to him by God, was outside the realm of human possibility. This baby would not be created in the same way that every other person since Adam and Eve was created. Instead of a human father, God would be the baby’s Father. He chose a young woman who was not yet married to be the baby’s mother, so there would be no doubt that it was a miraculous birth. This birth would be impossible without God’s power. As far as the rest of the intricate details prophesied and written in other parts of the Bible, it was statistically improbable, too. This baby was very special. Though His people called Him Jesus, God named Him “Immanuel” which means, “God with us.” His name said it all. Just as God said through Zechariah, the King would go to His people. He would be born among them, walk beside them, and die before them. As a baby he learned to crawl, walk, and talk. He had emotions like we do. He laughed at funny and joyous things, and cried when His heart broke. He could feel pain, and His body bled as humans bleed. But, He would grow up to do miraculous things as only God could do—fully God and fully Man—“God with us.” Jesus—Immanuel—was God in the flesh.  ✨✨✨✨❤️❤️✨✨✨✨ Praying for you, my sweet and loving sister, that the Lord, Immanuel, may give you a sign that He is with you today and always! Day 5 from a Devotional called “The Nativity” ********Shepherds******* It would make sense that a host of angels might appear in the temple where people worshipped God. It would make sense that the religious leaders of the day would experience the moment that had been prophesied. But that’s not how God set the stage for His Son’s arrival. His ways don’t always make sense from our earthly perspective. They aren’t predictable, mundane, or ordinary. His promises, though prophesied long ago, may have seemed a little bizarre to God’s people. But if He operated in ways that we expected, would we be surprised? Amazed? In awe of Him? The shepherds would have grown up hearing of these prophecies. As children, they would know that all of their people were waiting on the Lord. They, too, would be waiting on Him. Would they have expected the Messiah to be born in their lifetime? And would they have anticipated that they would be the first to know? God was clear about many details, but He never specified a time. It’s no wonder they were terrified when an angel suddenly appeared before them. An unexpected surprise on an otherwise typical night. A shepherd’s job was to protect his flock of sheep from predators. He needed to keep them all together. Each shepherd had a different call for their flock, and the sheep knew only their shepherd’s voice. Jesus is often called a Shepherd (John 10:11). His people know His voice, and He leads them and protects them from evil. Because God’s way is always beautifully constructed, He chose these shepherds to be the first to hear of the baby’s birth. The angel of the Lord heralded the good news that would change eternity. The heavenly host of angels declared the glory of God—all as the shepherds stood watch. The glory of the Lord surrounded the shepherds in a warm embrace. And then the moment was over. Like sheep, they turned to find their Shepherd. The angel did not expect them to continue to care for their sheep. He told them where to find the baby and the shepherds set off toward the nearby town. As they looked down upon the manger, their eyes bore witness to the delicate features of Baby Jesus’ face. They saw His chest rise and fall with the rhythm of His breaths. They heard the soft coos and cries of the Lord while Mary and Joseph tended to their son. They shared their story about the angels and the heavenly host; perhaps Mary and Joseph shared their stories as well. With the pieces falling in place, even those from prophecies told long ago, adding to it the news from the angel and what they had witnessed, the shepherds then spread news to all who would listen. They gave glory to God and praised Him for His faithfulness. ✨✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨✨ My prayer for you today, my beloved sister is this: May the glory of the Lord that surrounded the shepherds on that magnificent night so long ago surround you in the same warm embrace today and always!🙏🙏🙏🕊🕊🕊✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️
