What is your unforgiving someone else doing to you? In Matthew 18:23-25 we see the story of a man that was forgiven by the king. His debt was very great. Yet, the man turns around and holds a much smaller debt against his neighbor. In the end his unforgiveness to his neighbor cost him much. Do we really think that holding a grudge or punishing someone for their debt owed us will accomplish anything? Well, it does not. As the man in our story, we end up paying the debt that is owed us most of the time much greater than the original debt. In the movie FROZEN there is a song that says, LET IT GO, LET IT GO. We need to let it go. If someone is indebted to you do not let that grudge of debt destroy you. Be warned, it will. Find it within yourself to forgive just as CHRIST has forgiven you. Luke 6:23-25 tell us, FORGIVE AND YOU WILL BE FORGIVEN. Forgiven of what? The great debt you owe when JESUS laid down his life for your your debts and offered you forgiveness.
