Dear family, yesterday afternoon my CPA notified me that because of change in tax rules I have to pay extremely large tax bill. I received most of my income from overseas in 2017 there was some change to the US tax law that requires me to pay 20 years of back taxes. I don’t understand all the details.l yet but first reaction was anger, but this morning it’s asking for prayer. This news comes after already having a very challenging couple years. Yesterday morning I had just committed to doing a charitable bike ride in Africa raise money for Bunundi, then to get this news in the afternoon was soul crushing. I asked for all your prayers for our Father Jesus to give me wisdom and the trust that the Lord will work this out for my good and resolve this tax bill as well keep me grateful for all the blessings the Father has give me over my life time. If you would like to know more about the charity I’m cycling for see link below https://www.greatlakesoutreach.org/ Thanks for your prayers Steve

Yikes! Lord this is hard news for anyone to hear and we feel the strain of it on our brother, Steve. Please help Steve as he works out a payment plan with IRS that is reasonable and doable. Do not let this tax law change and its implications for him crush him, Lord. Help him stand and continue standing in Your grace. Gird him with Your strength and give him the mind of Christ.

The Lord is faithful so do not FEAR. The Lord has been able to change circumferences in favor of His children , and I believe He can do the same for you.
I assume you paid taxes for the country in which you were employed , or was it a case of no taxes at all from both US and the other country?
May the peace of God guide you and keep doing the things of God no matter what obstacle comes your way.
Stay blessed and strong in Christ.
