January 13, 2021 at 2:30 pmSo I was praying this evening and I told God I loved Him, and a small vouch asked, is that like loving Errol( my husband) or Clifton ( my ex that I was obsessed over even years after being married) and I said no, not like that. I begins to think I love you because you are awesome and you love me so much. Didn’t they do too? I asked God to show me how to be in love with Him. Can you guys please pray for me that I can show God how much I am I love with Him? Thanks family Janet

January 13, 2021 at 3:01 pmWe show our love for God by keeping His commandments. The Father’s command is to believe on the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another. Jesus’ command is to love one another as He has loved us, and to share the good news of Himself with others. Scripture helps to expand our understanding of what love is as well, beyond the obvious things like being a kind, caring, compassionate, etc. individual; and to apply this love to everyone, all people.
I pray the Lord works powerfully in your life, and heart, for His purposes and glory. Amen!

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. – 1 John 5:3
—
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. – 1 John 3:23
—
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. – John 13:34

(Charity = love in other translations of scripture)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. – 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
