Praying… We were shocked by Columbine, then by Sandy Hook, then Virginia Tech and on and on it goes… and now it’s almost routine… LORD Jesus bring our nation and this world back to its senses, including our hearts, mine included, too… Father, we lift up these families and destroyed lives and ask that You would bring healing and wholeness back to these victims and whole communities. Let our hearts be turned from stone into hearts of flesh once again as we seek You. Let our priority be in seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness instead of our own and letting Your priorities take precedence only when we feel like it. Touch us, change us, make us and mold us into the people that You had in mind, all along. Cause us to seek Your face, through studying Your word, prayer, praise, fellowship, evangelizing others, serving and making disciples of all nations. Stir us as Your people, Father, let the ashes fall away and blow upon our hearts to be warmed by the power of Your word and the presence of Your Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name this is prayed. May many lives be touched and lasting changes comes as we endeavor to be humble and broken before You and ready to serve Your purposes in every realm of life. Father bring us forth as ambassadors to roll back our present culture of death and to choose You and life once again. Amen.
