Praying for you Brian, Jill and your families. It is difficult losing a parent and having lost both is another thing to grapple with. I have lost both parents now as well. I remind myself that they are just out of town for awhile. It seems to help me….just can’t pick up the phone…..but I pick up my prayers of gratitude for all they have done. I think of Jesus in heaven and how He is praying for us. If Jesus is our example those in heaven must be praying for us too. Take comfort my brother. ( I only have one brother left) but actually many many many mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. Your family around the world lifts you up in prayer as you continue to reach out despite your heart’s wavering feelings and your mind’s remembrances.

May our Heavenly Father comfort you, may He pour the warm oil of the Comforter from the top of your head to the bottom of the souls of your feet. May He give you unexplainable, supernatural joy, may His peace settle deep within your very being. May His hands reach out and touch your shoulders when you are sad. May He lift your head, so you may know and understand that God is right there beside you, no matter what.
