August 21, 2019 at 2:57 pmI would like to pray for my alcoholic brethren I have become aware of lately:
Dear Father, please be with Robert (Veronica’s brother), with Candace from Oregeon’s niece, with Micah, with Alicia and with me as we face the challenges of alcoholism. We cannot do this on our own.
I thank You for being with me and bringing that last ‘bender’ safely to an end.
Thank You Fatherfelixculpa723Prayers: 2063Requests: 7
August 21, 2019 at 7:03 pmHeavenly Father, I praise you for the immense blessing of simply standing in your presence, and the privilege of interceding for those suffering from alcoholism. I pray that you will provide insight to all of these children that they truly are alcoholics, that they are powerless over their compulsion to drink, and that they need your help in order to stop drinking. I come against the Satanic forces that deceive these souls about the seriousness of their drinking, lies about their ability to stop drinking, and condemnation about their moral failings. I pray that you will command your angels to battle against the evil forces seeking to kill all alcoholics by perpetually encouraging them to drink more along with speaking lies about the Uselessness of trying to quit drinking. Defeat these forces of evil that stand by to fan the flames of this horrible, debilitating disease. You are more powerful than this disease and the evil forces that seek to rob heaven of these souls, Father. We pray that you will speak your truth and reveal yourself to these and all alcoholics, and lead them down your pathway to their healing. Take away their desire to drink, and lead them down the path to sobriety. I praise you that as powerful as this disease is, your power to save souls in the midst of this disease is greater. We thank and bless you that recovering alcoholics find you as their Lord and Savior as the result of their battle with this disease.

August 21, 2019 at 7:38 pmGod please hear this prayer for the cry for peace and recovery from alcoholism. God we know that this can effect all parts of each relationship and the struggle for freedom from the grips of wanting to escape. God we pray for deliverance and your Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us during this struggle. We know you are a powerful God and want us to come to you with our struggles. The Love you have for each of your children is greater than the East is from the West. We pray for the power to always reach towards that Love.

August 25, 2019 at 3:07 pmFather, I thank and praise you you for the gift alcoholism has been in the life of my family; for the power of forgiveness, confession and redemption; and for humility I have seen manifest as my family members recovered from this horrible and stigmatizing disease. I thank you for answered prayers as each alcoholic began the rough road to recovery. I thank you that faith in you blossomed as sobriety was maintained. I thank you for the faith this planted in me to believe in your power to intervene in the lives of hardened alcoholics, brothers who recovered from this disease even after spending time in jail, sisters subjected to the harsh lights of public shaming and humiliation, and family members who tried and failed to stay sober numerous times before they achieved long term sobriety. Father, I thank you that your faithfulness encourages my prayers. It is you, and you alone who are worthy of all praise. Perform your miracles in the lives of these alcoholics.
