January 28, 2017 at 11:21 pmI struggle with forgiveness frequently. My husband and I are separated and I only recently became a believer.
When I think that I have forgiven some memory will pop up seemingly out of nowhere, and the anger and sadness come with it.
I have made the decision to forgive-but my feelings are not caught up with that yet.
And today’s DAB was something I REALLY needed to hear. So my prayer request is just for a continuance of the softening of my heart, so that I may forgive wholly.
God bless you all.blk.str.lvPrayers: 13Requests: 13
January 29, 2017 at 5:35 pmMandit1990, I share in this prayer with you today and every day forward. I too try to forgive and just when I feel I’ve gotten a hold on it, my body is filled with various emotions that won’t allow me to forgive completely my deceased wife’s family.
I pray that Lord Jesus will step in and show us what true forgiveness looks like. I ask that his loving hand holds us close and give us His heart to love others no matter what.
I’m hear if you need to share, vent and just release those emotions. Be well and be blessed.

January 30, 2017 at 1:11 pmI had someone insult me several months ago. In my heart I thought I had forgiven them BUT anytime I would pray God kept bringing up this person’s name and I just could NOT hide from God.
I asked God , why is it that I “forgave ” this person and yet you keep bringing him up? God made it clear to me that I had not truly forgiven the person. When you TRULY want to forgive someone you need to :
1.Ask God for Grace upon yourself and upon the person.
2. Look at the person as the merciful judge and not the ruthless judge , remembering that this same person truly needs to be delivered from the GRIP of the enemy. ( Just the same way God saved you)
3.Realize that Satan is your true enemy who has used these (persons) to hurt/ harm you
( the persons were mere tools -unfortunately)
4.Realize that as long as you have that resentment or very hard feelings against these person(s) then so many of your breakthroughs are literally being hindered and you are likely to be subject of ATTACK by the enemy.
4.Finally realize that you too sin everyday and God the merciful judge always looks upon you with compassion- so ask God for compassion.Once I grasped all these, I can truly say I walk in freedom knowing that He who is in me is greater than he who is in this world. When I pray I never have this person come into my thoughts as I learnt from the great Teacher to let GO.
I have learnt that failing to let GO only blocks my prayers so instead I give all my cares to Jesus and let go.
Stay strong in the Lord.
