Trust God in everything for His perfect love casts out all fear. With that, you can talk to her and no matter what the outcome, you can trust in God’s will when you are concurrently obeying and believing in Him. Rely on God and the troubles of this world will become minuscule.

Lord I thank you for the gift of friendship – we really can’t make other people like us, so when they do it’s such a gift. I ask that you’ll help Jaden to grow in confidence, knowing their identity in you as Your child, and I ask that they would more and more want to be a blessing to anyone they meet. Give them wisdom to know whether they’re welcomed or not, and to trust you to open the doors in your timing. I thank you that you do such wonderful things through friendship and relationships, sometimes for a season, sometimes for a lifetime. May Your wonderful purposes in this friendship come about – whatever it involves. I also ask that you would heal deep wounds along the way – (I don’t know if this is the case for either of you, but…) rejection and fear of rejection can really paralyse us from sharing your generous love and joy with others. I pray for such a freedom here that both Jaden and their (new!) friend would overcome by your grace. Amen.
