December 1, 2018 at 1:43 amHello and thank you for your partnership with us. My husband of 2 and a half years, David, and I , Jerica, are trying to navigate our way through marriage with a 7 month old baby boy. Our ideas of marriage are different due to our examples from our parents. I want to get to a place where our marriage mirrors God’s original beauty of what marriage is supposed to be. Healing needs to take place for both us from watching our parent’s marriages and we want what God will have for us, not a repeat of what we saw growing up. Thank you all! Blessings.

December 1, 2018 at 6:46 amFather, thank You for this request and for this little family that You have made. I lift up David, Jerica and their child to You. Father, You hear her heart. I may hear some fear. Perfect love casts out fear. Let David and Jerica not worry about the examples their parents were for marriage. Instead, let them follow Your ways. You are their Father. You gave them Your Word with instructions and examples of what marriage is intended to be. Let that overrule any other influences. Let them practice and get good at following Your ways. When we practice at things we improve. It sounds so simple but it’s true. I have to practice. It makes me think of piano practice and how much I hated it. It was so boring. I guess I just didn’t have the vision of what the practice would lead to. Too bad. Whenever I hear the piano or watch someone playing, part of me realizes what could have been, the other part still doesn’t have the vision that it could be me who could play like that. Anyways, yes, I see the correlation between the two and pray Jerica will as well. Give her and David godly couples or individuals who will come along side them and mentor them in their marriage. She asks for healing and I pray it over them. Jesus Christ heals you, both. Your marriage will thrive and it is already beautiful! See the beauty, my sister. Celebrate it and marvel as it grows! Catch that vision! It’s so important. This is my prayer for this little family. I thank You for what You’re doing in them, Lord. I thank You for what You will do. Only You are perfect, Lord! Holy Spirit fill Jerica, David and their son. Fill their home with love, joy and peace. Let them walk in truth and love. Let them constantly surrender to You and Your ways. Let them see You at work in them each day and give You all thanks and praise. Let me do the same. We need You, Lord! We have You!! Whoo hoo!!! Let us focus on that truth! Let us stand confidently as You fight our every battle. Praise You!! Renew our minds. Thank You for transforming us into Your image. Be glorified in us and in our marriages today. I thank You that You are giving their son a close up look of what marriage is to be. May he learn and grow into a godly man who loves You with all his heart. Thank You, Lord! I pray all this in Jesus’ Name. Amen and Amen!!
You are blessed, sister! Enjoy it!!! Enjoy your little family! If I could go back to when I was first married and had a new baby, I’d take my own advice and do it all again. My baby just turned 8 years old. I praise God for my children and my marriage. He has been SO good to me!!! He will be just as good to you!

December 1, 2018 at 11:38 amdear Jerica – We also entered marriage with warped views: me from a non-Christian, abusive, alcoholic chaos and my husband from a Christian but emotionally disconnected family. For myself, all I had to do was do the opposite what I saw my mom and stepdad do. But for more practical ideas, I looked to Focus On The Family, James Dobson, Paul Meier (a Christian counselor) and New Life (a group of Christian counselors) as well as godly women in my church to help guide me. Seek out knowledge and learn all you can, put into practice all you can.
Father, we lift up Jerica and her family to You. She is crying out for help and we know that You will never disappoint. Help her find the best way – Your way – for her family. As she continually looks to You, help her be at peace, and to find joy in the everydayness of Life. Amen

December 1, 2018 at 1:11 pmFather Thank You for Your Mercy, this day, this moment, right here, right now. Father Thank You for our brother and sister in Christ, David, and Jerica. Thank You Father for the Gift of their marriage, “THE GIFT OF PURPOSE.”
“The Apostle Paul declares this profound and marvelous gift to be the “great mystery” finally revealed. It is the union between Christ and his people, as one flesh. Such companionship and intimacy is a profound gift to be marveled at and enjoyed, bringing contentment and happiness. And in so enjoying, we bring glory to him—the creator of perhaps the greatest gift ever.” Father, You are SO GOOD!!! (Hehehehe. In agreement with you, I love you, Janel.) We, the body of Christ, give thanks to You, Father, for Your mercy that endures forever. Father, You said, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Father Thank You for the Family You created inside Your “Gift of purpose,” Your children, David and Jerica. Thank You, Father, for Your Gift of bringing David and Jerica together as one flesh and still, again, “inside Your Gift,” Your blessings, pour down from the windows of heaven chasing them down and overtaking them, this day You have made and all the long days You have already promised. Father, You said,” For the length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.” Thank You, Father, for Your blessings, (inside Your “multiplied” Gifts,) the miracle that is the Greatest Gift as one flesh, the miracle of LIFE, Given to David and Jessica, the Life that is their baby and the beginning of a family. Thank You, Father, for the proof of the innocence of Life, from the beginning, a child, Your Gift to us all. Father, You said, “Truly I tell you,” He said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Jerica, You are truly blessed, do not doubt. A free climber, without a rope, made this comment after the success of an unbelievable climb, “Doubt is the precursor of fear.” This climber cannot let fear in, (in the middle of a climb) while doing what his heart prepares him to do, while in the moment, “this moment, right here, right now.” Jerica, focus on Him, speaking inside of you, listen. Ask Him for what He has already given you, in front of you, and thank Him for receiving what is already yours, choosing to step forward onto the step He prepared in front of you, reaching the destiny He has framed your life in. He is Calling you forward, one step at a time, according to HIS PURPOSE. Father, You said,” Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.” Father Thank You that Jerica and David are gifted with a child FROM You, THROUGH the mother’s womb. “A GOOD that is above and beyond more than we can think or imagine, right here, right now. Father, You said, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” Father, I ask that David and Jerica focus on You, the heavy favor that surrounds them, (Thank You for the heavy favor that surrounds them like shields,) Lives in them, (the Holy Spirit,) and is growing inside them, (seeds You have given, drinking of the Living Water, flowing out of them like a river,) bearing fruit to share with all those, You Father, bring into their path, the gift of their child. Jerica, focus not on circumstances of the world, they are indeed temporary, past or this day, rather focus on what You have been Given, today, the gift of understanding, found inside of you, the Living Word of God. Father, I am in AWE, of the understanding You Give through Your Son, the Living Word, the Fear of God. (Fear of God refers to fear or a specific sense of respect, AWE.) Thank You, Father, for Your Faith and the Faith that grows inside Your children, that together in agreement with Your Word, is unlimited. Father Thank You for our sister Janel, right here, praying to YOU, believing, Living Your Word. Oh Lord, for You are GOOD, more than we can think or imagine. Father, the God of Armies, I, Daniel am in agreement with Your Prayer Warriors, the Life, Living inside their heart, the body of Christ, and Thank You for their witness and the witness they are to many, according to Your purpose, according to Your Perfect Will, where I know, “All IS Well.” In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen. -
