Husband doesn't want to be alive anymore

    My husband has chronic pain in his knee and spine, insomnia (getting worse), headaches, depression, anxiety, and this last weekend passed kidney stones, and other things and he still works to support our kids and me. He feels hopeless and doesn’t want to be alive anymore. He canceled his counselor appointments he had been going to because he is done talking about it he just wants to be fixed now. I don’t know how to help beyond what I am already doing. I feel like when I ask God for healing for him I hit a wall and the answer is no. I don’t know what to do. I choose to trust God, believe He is good, and sovereign (in control). BUT I am afraid for my husband, because he doesn’t say things lightly, he is a serious person. I take what he says seriously. He keep saying he doesn’t want to be alive anymore. Please Please Please pray for him, not just once or a few times, but continually for months. Please.

    I feel your pain! It is saddening indeed! Remember the power of life and death lies in the tongue, and unfortunately many people don’t realize! when your husband keeps saying that he does not want to be alive , he is literally calling the spirit of death upon himself which is very sad. Is your husband a believer in Christ?
    I want you not to doubt at all because we are now going to pray. Your husband is under your covering if he is not a believer ( 1 Corinthians 7:14) so it is extremely important that you have faith in God and believe what His word says.

    Dear Heavenly father,

    We thank you for the precious gift of life. We repent because in many occasions we have taken it for granted when every part of our body has functioned well. We bring this husband to your throne of Grace. The pain he is going through must be so terrible that he has got to a point where he believes death will stop the pain ( lie from the enemy!!).

    I cancel the spirit of death over him right now in the name of Jesus! I pray for new life over this man oh Lord. I cancel the spirit of depression, anxiety , Insomnia and pain in the name of JESUS!!! and ask for the spirit of joy, peace, rest and healing in the mighty name of Jesus! Lord touch the knees and spine supernaturally and let us put the devil to shame! He is a liar! He comes to steal , kill and destroy! But you Lord have come to give life and give it MORE ABUNDANTLY!! (John 10:10 ) we stand by your word and don’t have any doubt.

    Oh Lord will you please show yourself as LORD over this situation. I request that you touch him with your healing touch. where the counselors have failed we ask that you intervene because we know only you can restore his health both physically , mentally and emotionally.

    I pray that you will touch his heart and draw him close to you , and that when all is said and done, you Oh Lord will be the one to receive the glory.

    May his wife stand by his side and be the comfort that he needs.

    Thank you Jesus for what you will do. Your timing is not our timing so we shall believe and leave the rest in your hands.

    I am praying for your husband and for you, please have hope, trust God with everything that happens and remember that GOD is in control. Have faith in GOD’s abundant power. This is my favourite bible verse that helps with any situation. Just remember:
    Philippians 4:6-7New International Version (NIV)

    6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

    Keep praying with persistence and faith and trust. God loves everybody.

    Thank you for your prayers! I also prayed those prayers a long with you and LORD I believe help thou any hidden unbelief (Mark 9:24). Your prayers have brought me comfort and a scripture from God.

    My husband was a believer in the sense he believed in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (never active in church in our marriage and we both were taught a false version of Christ growing up, works based, as well as false doctrine) and when God miraculously breathed life (filled me with all the fruits of the spirit) into me at a Biblical Christian women’s conference I left my old wrong beliefs and I started a relationship with the one true God. I shared what this amazing God was doing in my life with my husband as much as he would let me and about 9 months later he ask me to teach him about “my” Jesus, then days later he says he likes the idea of God but doesn’t believe in him anymore and to not talk to him about Jesus anymore.

    This is the verse God gave me this morning during my time with Him, concerning my husband as well as He told me, I and my husband need to repent.

    Matthew 13:15 “…..should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understands with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them”

    I prayed:

    Father God,
    I bow myself before Thee and humble ask, if it pleases you and thou art willing, to please pour your abundant grace on Johnathan, forgive all his sins and mine, open his eyes that he may see you/truth/Jesus, open his ears that he may hear and recognize you/truth/Jesus, and let him understand with his heart, turn to you LORD and be healed.

    In Jesus’s blessed name. Amen

    I am so glad that you heard the voice of God. His desire is that we all repent and live a righteous life . I stand with you on your prayer .

    I am standing with you in prayer also…woulx you tell us please what your husband’s name is? Also, please check into a community based palliative care program in your area. The focus of palliative care is to manage pain and symptoms from muliple illnesses or conditions. If you want more information pleass let me know. .

    Thank you all for your prayers!!! He was able to get in to see another Dr. shortly after these prayers and the treatment plan seems to be helping at the moment. Kimberly, his name is Johnathan. Things have gotten much better. Praising God for His help. God is good.

    I am so amazed at the Biblical God I serve. I will praise Him always for….He is so BIG! He is LOVE! He is GOOD! He is ABLE! With Him all things are POSSIBLE! He is MAGNIFICENT! He is GLORIOUS! He CARES! He is THOUGHTFUL! He is CONSIDERATE! He is FORGIVING! He is GRACE! He is COMPASSION! He is BEAUTIFUL! He is GENEROUS! He is FAITHFUL! He is in CONTROL! He is HELPFUL! He is STRONG!     Hello Raspberryflower,

    I have always wanted to thank you for praying for me. I am so very grateful.

    How is your husband’s pain. Is he feeling any better? I have been praying for him, I hope he has found some relief. I know he does not want his life to end, he wants the pain to end so he can finally live. Please tell him I understand and I do not want him to give up. Let him know I will not stop praying until he is pain free.

    God loves your husband, he will end this pain. He does not want you to live with this stress and worry either. I am also praying for you and your children. I have asked God to end this cycle of pain and to let you and your family enjoy life again. I believe with all my heart that God sees all, and knows all. He can do anything. He will heal your husband.
