I need help with my life

    Dear DAB family, I am an only child of my parents and they have a lot of expectations for me. I just finished the university and I am job hunting now. Please pray for me that I find a great job. I also started writing my chartered accountant exams to put me in a better position and it hasn’t been easy studying. I literally paid the fees all by myself in the university and I’m doing same with this course and I’m out of funds. I need to pass these exams. Please pray for me to be focused and determined and not worry about the fees. My mum is in huge debt in her business and it’s frustrating. My dad has been unemployed for long now he is at retirement age. My mum’s health is deterioting and so is that of my grandmother (I have lived with granny since I was born, I can’t loose her). Please pray also that I find peace in my heart to forgive my dad for all the hurt he put my mum and I through (we don’t talk) and I need healing of the past so that I can move forward. I seem to be very defensive in my past relationship and I’m confused as to what I want. I want to heal before I move forward. Thank you all. Much love and regards from Ghana.

    Dear Father in heaven, I pray our DAB friend will search the scriptures and know forgiveness is not optional. It is central to being a Christ follower. As Christ has laid down his life, paid the total price for our sins past present and future, so we who take the hand of Christ to walk with him must walk as he walked. All else is either the world, the flesh, or the devil. Help him be a witness to his dad of what being a Christian means. I pray this dad will seek forgiveness and come to know Christ too.
    Father, help this mother to manage her business. I pray for healing for her and the granny. May this son be a blessing to them both.
    Father, thank you for the education our DAB friend has gained. Thank you for his self reliance. I pray you will help him focus on this new task and past the tests. May he be blessed with a very good job. In the midst of this may he always put you first. We give you the glory for all you are doing in this family and in this young friend’s life. In Jesus name

    Abba Father! Oh how we love you! We lift up this precious soul to you who works so hard to please his family. Allow dear Jesus, to help him see Your love and what You have accomplished in his life. Help him move forward in love and forgiveness toward those he loves and see his life as planned out by you. Lord, if You did not spare Your own Son from death on a cross, how could we ever think that we would escape adversity? Oh Father, sometimes the hardest people to forgive are the members of our own family. Holy Spirit we ask for true repentance and forgiveness to wash over demefavicentia to see that his life has been ordained before the foundation of the world and that You have a plan. Here at the crossroads he has a choice to make and how wonderful it is that he is coming to You and this family for prayer. Lord, remind us to be faithful to pray for this young man. We ask You to heal and make him whole, in Jesus Name! We love and praise You!

    “demefavicentia”, as “davis3222shirley1” said, forgiveness is not an option – it is a command from the Lord. Neither is it a feeling, it is a choice. As you keep saying [out loud], “I forgive my father”, in time you will know in your heart that he is forgiven.
    Some time ago, I was hurting so badly that, although I chose to forgive, it just didn’t seem to come. In desperation I asked the Lord to forgive through me, on my behalf. I didn’t have any Scriptural basis for that, but when I woke the next morning, I knew I had forgiven the person who hurt me. Forgiveness isn’t so much for the benefit of those who have hurt us, but it is for the benefit of the one forgiving. Someone once said that unforgiveness is like us taking poison and hoping someone else will die. Scientifically, too, it has been proven to toxify our bodies when we hold on to bitterness. You may also find that unforgiveness gives satan the legal right to block the provision of God. [end of lecture].
    Jehovah Jireh, I ask You to provide every one of “demefavicentia’s” needs. Bless her and keep her, cause Your face to shine upon her, and be gracious unto her, look upon her with Your favour, and give her Shâlôm [peace, prosperity, health, safety, wholeness, wellbeing]. Amen
