I want to thank you all for your prayers .. I never cease to marvel at the love and response of this incredible family. I wanted to uodate you all. There is so much to relay but suffice to say that my brother did not miss his window of opportunity for a transplant where he would be too ill, but infact despite the fact that he has stage 4 emphysema with only 17% lung capacity he is still ‘not sick enough’ for a transplant! We were both shocked … but the good news is he qualifies for the program at the Cleveland Clinic and they will follow him with appointments every 3 months so that when the window opens he will already be approved for listing. So, if he can just not get a bad cold or worse bronchitis (which could kill him) he will eventually receive a transplant … thank you once again, I will update the family as time goes on.
