Proverbs 17:14

“The beginning of (strife) is, as when one letteth out water: therefore leave “off”
contention, before it be meddled with”.

Father, help to to be on guard for the spirit of strife. Who is the destroyer of peace and harmony
in our homes and relationships. This is True (if) we let strife into our lives and yield to it’s destructive
force. Who (if) yielded to, ushers in the spirit of conflict, discord, contention, heated and often angry
disagreements with others. Help us to seek after peace in our homes and to guard against the thief
who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Let us and our homes be filled with the fruits of the Spirit 🕊 love,
joy, “peace”, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Against such
there is now law (Gal. 5:22-23). Help us LORD, by the power of Your Holy Spirit 🕊 to at all times, seek after
“peace”, and help us to avoid foolish, dangerous arguments by shutting the door to strife…
