Hi! My name is Susan Couture. Please don’t laugh. It my legal name, not a screen name.
I have been listening to the Daily Bible reading since March 11th without fail (91) days straight. I listen to those prayer requests that follow. I have been following the Prayer Wall as well.
Presently, the DAB is the only Community that I am part of.
Below is the DAB website Welcome section about the importance of Community :“Community”
“There are three things we can’t do without in our Christian life here on Earth. The Bible, a conversational intimacy with Jesus and COMMUNITY. Isolation is a killer. It lets us get weird. It also lets us get off course and stay off course without even knowing it. Community can be a tough thing to find because it can be perilous. People (even Christians) are capable of doing some really terrible things to each other. The design of the evil one is to inflict wounds by other believers and allow the wounded to blame God and lose their faith over it. It’s a very sinister tactic that has worked for a long time. It’s sometimes hard to seperate what people do and who God is when the wounding comes from someone we trust. Regardless of this, we can’t survive long walking alone.”
Today, while praying and thanking God for loving me, I was so glad to find this loving DAB community. Brian’s daily Bible reading and teaching have been my morning breakfast. Prayer Wall and prayers following the Bible reading have brought me so much peace. Giving heartfelt prayers on behalf of others has grown my heart for DAB community.
But, today, after my own daily prayers with thanksgiving, I heard a voice say that I was on a slippery slope because I do not have a local Christian Community to grow in and be a part of. So, I am asking for prayers that God will lead me to a local Christian Community that I can call home.June 10, 2025 at 9:01 pmDear fellow Dabber,
I appreciate your candor. and the godly wisdom that you so freely express. I agree with all the points that you’ve made to the tee… Separation is the devils playhouse. He as our Bibles 📕 point out is (as a) roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. If we look at how a lion acts when they hunt, we will see that they look for the weakest animal in the heard, the one who lags behind that’s easy prey… Such a good picture that dose indeed, perfectly describe what you so rightly pointed out about what can happen to us as Christians if we’re not paying close enough attention. Like many others I’m sure, I have to admit that I’ve fallen prey to Satan’s tactics once or twice. And ended up paying a dear price to boot! Thank God for the Holy Spirit 🕊 who knows how to bring us back to the safe path again.🔸🔸🔸I can attest from my own experience, that finding the right church fellowship can be a good experience if we don’t over think it to much, and allow the Holy Spirit 🕊 to lead us. The best advice that I can give you is to pray, and then don’t sit around and expect someone from the right church to find you. But, get up and put feet to what your believing God for, and go out and experience a few churches.🔸🔸🔸 What happened to my family the last time we were looking for (The) church, was we visited two or three churches, and the third one we sensed God’s peace, it felt comfortable to us. And that one became our church home for going on 10 years now. The LORD in His wisdom may do it completely different for you. So what do you have to loose? Go out and prayerfully sit in a few church pews. And be ready for as God often dose, He most likely will confirm where He desires you to attend by allowing you to sense His peace in your spirit. If your still not certain, be completely open and ask the Holy Spirit 🕊 for a second witness to confirm what think you first picked up from the LORD. This by the way, is totally Scriptural 📖(2 Cor. 13:1) That’s my two cents worth. I hope and pray it helps. 🔸🔸🔸 Daddy, lead Your child to the church of Your choosing. Confirm to her in her heart-spirit, the precise church that You desire her of become a active member of. Thank You Father, for hearing this prayer…Praying in the Name of JESUS ✝ that Your Name would be glorified ✨ in the Son. Amen! 💞

June 11, 2025 at 9:35 pmDearest Susan, I agree wholeheartedly with your honest confession and assessment of isolation and loneliness to the Christ-follower absent a body of Christ. Your prayer is spot on and I’m so thankful You heard that still small voice and have given accountability to its wings to obey with your heartfelt commitment to search and obey! Come Holy Spirit and guide Your sensitive child to the warm, loving, spirit-filled community You have ordained for her. Surround her with a “small group of women”
(in name, but not in their number) that she will resonate with and inhabit their fellowship and their prayers. The evil one is a liar whose goal is to cause division amongst ourselves, and separate us from the truth of God’s Word!!! Thank you Susan for reminding us we have an adversary who is no joke, and NOT to be taken lightly. Abba, precious and Merciful Father, we rebuke the spirit of loneliness and isolation, tactics of the enemy to keep us separated from other believers and from the truth of Your Word. We bind the enemy from our minds, our thoughts and our worship, corporately, individually and within the body of Christ. Stitch us together in Your Love, Papa and bind us together, in Christ, in Jesus Name, let it be done for us. June 12, 2025 at 6:46 amDo not get upset and give up when you learn everyone that has a church and hose to church is not a part of the body of Christ they pretend well When you run into these folks pray for them and move on one thing is for sure the DAB was the first community of believers I was introduced to and is still true today they just read the Bible and take in prayers all around the world I promise you this is the only place your gonna find this type of love for Christ don’t look for it in people look for his love to manifest in you this is the best start you could have ever made I say these things in Christ a Jesus name You might try Saddleback church , Elevation Church they have a online community where you get also plug in and get a daily devotional oh our daily bread that’s another way to get it in with Christ word daily.
