January 9, 2025 at 7:47 pmUpdate on Mackenzie 1.9.25 I feel like we have bared our hearts through these updates over the last year and it’s been a privileged to do so with you. You have been with us through unbelievably hard times and I hope you have felt how incredibly important you have been to our family. Honestly, there were times I desperately depended on your prayers to help get us through this struggle. Today’s update is difficult to write. In fact, I expect this will be the last time I quote these statistics for various reasons, but I do so here because I’m seriously, desperately asking you to keep Mackenzie in your prayers. We need you now just as much as any other time in this journey. Even though the surgery went well and the margins were negative (meaning the surgeon removed all the cancer from her leg), there is still an 86% chance the cancer will return if she doesn’t have any chemo treatments. With chemo treatments, the chance of reoccurrence is 70%. (The last time she was on chemo, she almost died.) Mackenzie is ready to go to heaven, but she wants to live her life here to the fullest extent possible for as long as God allows . So we still need to fight and stay vigilant. You can imagine the anxiety she will have over the next 5 years. Please pray: 1. That the cancer won’t return. (Mackenzie experiences fear every day when she thinks about the possibility of the cancer metastasizing in her lungs.) 2. For Mackenzie to accept not having a leg and to prepare for using a prosthesis. 3. That she can trust God fully with the future. 4. For the upcoming chemo treatment, which she is dreading. 5. For strictness with her keto diet and other therapies. Our hearts are comforted knowing you are with us.

January 10, 2025 at 6:30 amFather, I come beside Scott in agreement with the prayers of his heart. You are the God of all flesh and nothing is too hard for You. Your plans and purposes are perfect though we don’t always understand the full measures of Your long sightedness, I ask in the name of Jesus for provisions in all areas of need. I pray that by the stripes of Jesus that this cancer is gone for good and will not return. I pray that all pain and fear be removed . I ask for Your guidance for wise doctors of alternative medicine to find their way to her. I pray for the doctors to be confounded as Mackenzie heals and adapts to a prothesis in an astonishingly fast manner. I ask for love in her life, for marriage and children. I pray that her beautiful witness and light never dim. Bring her joy in You, Lord, as she continues to serve You . I pray all financial needs be met for this family. I ask for a bolstered faith and strength and Peace – THE PEACE – that can only be attributed to You, Father, to rain down on Mackenzie and her family as they wait patiently on YOU. Father, we love Mackenzie and we know You do too – so much. Help us all as we fight this battle on all fronts. We give You the honor and praise for all You will do in her life.

January 10, 2025 at 7:19 amDearest Scott; Thank you for the recent update on Mack. Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. At this season for Mack, we totally rely on God fully leading the way, because THIS BATTLE IS THE LORDS! God cares deeply for Mack, HE sees every part of her life. Every concern of her heart, and He holds Mack with unwavering affection. His love is real, His care is constant, and His affection for her runs deeper than you can imagine. She is so precious to Him, more than you’ll ever know. Mack finds herself pondering, how do I get through this? What happens next? However, God wants to share something that changes your entire outlook. This intense trial, does not hold the ultimate authority. HE DOES! I am praying, Mack fights the good fight! NEVER GIVING UP! We will wait and see with expectation, The following chapter unfolding for Mack. For GOD nothing is impossible. Please read this encouraging words to her. Sending my love, and prayers. 🙏🏻♥️🕊️

January 10, 2025 at 8:19 amYes 🙌 family, Father may You transform and repurpose their pain in God’s hands. In the process of repurposing pain in His image by Your divine sovereignty, creative authority, and the glory manifesting in various ways through God’s actions of grace. Matthew 27:46 ‘Jesus asks, “Why have you forsaken me?”’ occurs during the crucifixion, and reflects Jesus’ human experience of anguish and the fulfillment of Psalm 22:1. Job 3:12 “Why were there knees to receive me and breasts that I might be nursed? Job’s lament in this verse reflects a struggle to understand the purpose of being nurtured into life amidst suffering. Through Nihilo Power, we see that even moments of care and provision are part of God’s sovereign creative plan, which can bring forth purpose from pain. Emetha Power assures us that God’s truth is unchanging, and the provision we question in our pain is part of His eternal wisdom and design. Kohva Power reminds us of God’s sustaining strength, affirming that the same care that nurtures us into life also empowers us to endure and overcome suffering. For Jesus is God… by His Grace (Care, Truth and Strength) all in Jesus’ great name, Amen!🙏 P.S. The Spirit helps us find meaning and strength in the midst of pain (Romans 8:26).
