Praying Raphael for the Holy Spirit to bring comfort, peace and wisdom. Thanking God for your forgiving heart. Allowing our Father to lift up our face to Him to praise and glorify His Name.

Rafael, God is for you and He is with you. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you. You are a mighty man of God. Walk in His strength. You will be a good leader to your children and to your wife or ex-wife. Don’t look back. Of course, pain, suffering, betrayal, loss and disappointment hurt. Give yourself time to grieve and then get up and choose to honor God and bring Him glory. Pray for your wife, but know that she will make her own decisions. You be the example to her. Let your relationship with God speak to the world about His power, love, goodness and mercy. Your children need you and deserve a Dad who loves them and models what it looks like to walk with God so that they, too, will walk with Him and serve them. You can do this by the power of the Holy Spirit living in you!

Father, I lift up Rafael to You. I hear You telling him to get up and be strong and courageous for You are with him. You know his pain and You care about his suffering, but You don’t want him to stay there. Let him set his face towards You and enjoy his relationship with You. I lift up his wife and marriage to You. Speak to Anahi. Give her ears to hear You. Soften her heart. Let her give You all her hurts and pain. Bring healing. Bring forgiveness. I ask that You restore their marriage. And if there marriage is to be over, I ask that You bring them both into a strong relationship with You that one day You might lead them back together. I’ve heard of this happening- surely, all things are possible with You. Let Rafael not dwell on the past or even on his wife, let his eyes be on You. He has SO MUCH to worship and praise You for! Let his children see You in their Dad. Let them want to know You like he does. Do a great work in all their lives. You are strong and mighty to save!! I praise You!! I have so much to be thankful for and SO much to praise You for! Replace Rafael’s mourning for JOY even now. I thank You for him and his request. Thank You that I pray. I love You, Lord. Have Your way! Fill Rafael and his entire family with Your Holy Spirit. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Father, the picture that comes to my mind in reading Rafael’s prayer request is how You weep for Jerusalem, your people Israel, for us, and for me. Today Lord, I ask that You give our brother one small measure of hope. Something that will be obvious to him, something encouraging. We also come as a body of believers and ask on his behalf for Your wisdom in how to live day to day through this trying situation. And Lord, protect his little ones – may they see and hear only what is appropriate for their young eyes and ears. Maintain their childhoods and innocence as much as is possible. For Your name and Your glory we ask that this marriage be restored.

Amen to all the prayers. Dear Lord may the power of your spirit bring blessings to this situation and may your glory be abundantly clear. In the loving name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray.
