I need anyone and everyone who sees this to pray for my father Henry. He is retired, but was still doing work on the side. He recently lost his job and is aimless and wanders away from home walking every day. He’s very physically active, but mentally he is lost and does not know what to do with himself. He is exhibiting Dementia behaviors such as forgetfulness, irritability, anger, wandering etc. He wants to drive but is not able because of his mental state but he thinks he is fine. He wakes up at 5 or 6 AM and wanders in public highways to our family members homes which are at least a 30 minute walk away. He wants to purchase things he sees on TV that he cannot afford and wants things immediately. He’s restless and has started smoking cigarettes again at 70 years old. My mother is trying to get medical help for him but they keep stating that he is physically healthy although she notices his behavior is completely strange every day. I don’t know what else to do! Please pray that God will restore him to his right mind so that he will not be a danger to himself or others. Also pray that we can get the correct help for him and that he will find a new safe purpose in life. Please Help!goingupsoonPrayers: 7444Requests: 403

help this man to be free of dementia and all of it’s affects. Restore his mind and ability to think correctly. Bless his wife faith and hope in the God who parted the Red Sea, who made walls to crumble, opened prison gates, who fed multitudes with five loves and two small fishes, who turned water into wine and walked on water. God all things are possible with You, and all things are possible to those who believe.
God of the turn around.
We pray believing that your about to turn things around. In JESUS NAME, we pray. Amen! 💓pattysyellowbusPrayers: 3342Requests: 30

Abba Father! How You love this dear father! Give him new purpose in his life, Lord, that there is much work to be done for the kingdom and You have plans to use him for Your glory. Yes, Lord Jesus, give him Your mind so that he will be able to function in wholeness! Holy Spirit, as we gather in Your Presence, guide this man to walk with You so that he can fulfill Your desires. In Jesus Name!
Praise Your Name!spiritdoc1Prayers: 5043Requests: 407

Your mom needs to take him to a neurologist or neuropsychology for a formal diagnosis and to rule out some OTHER, TREATABLE CAUSE (especially if this had a sudden onset- then get him in to a neurologist quickly) Lord you are our great physician! I ask you to heal Henry. I would ask also that you give Henry’s wife wisdom and discernment and that the family canget a formal diagnosis to rule out something treatable that may be causing this dysfunction in Henry’s behaviors. Lord I ask your mercy and grace towards Henry that would open the necessary doors to get immediate answers and help! Amen!maryruthinhiloPrayers: 9Requests: 4

P.S. Dementia and Depression look quite similar in the older population. The things you observe: irritability, anger, forgetfulness, wandering– all of those can also be exhibited by someone experiencing grief and/or depression. I know I am probing, but has he ever “lost a job” (often self-interpreted as (‘I was fired) before? Is he perhaps quite depressed over feelings ‘uselessness’? I am a psychologist and cannot give you clinical advice, but I would strongly urge you, if there is a gerontologist in your area, to go and have them talk 17th/diagnostically interview your dad. Even if it is dementia, there are MANY thing you cab do to help him’ve more comfortable. Does he have any SAFE hobbies?, Anyway, I hope this is helpful and I amimparting for Henry and for tour family!
