my husband faith & drinking

    my husband has filed a test to start in a new job but has another chance to pass it but he has been feeling extremely discouraged & defeated, so he turn to alcohol for comfort.

    Lord, we bring jlaubriel1’s husband before You tonight. You know that he failed that job test and that he’s discouraged and now drinking. Father, bring other men into his life to walk this path with him and let him know these things happen to many people, and that You can use it for good. Let them be an encouragement to him to press on, and also to let go of the alcohol and lean on You. ~gail

    Abba, Father! You are holy. Thank You for Your Word that brings everlasting life. We join together for this dear husband who seeking employment and failed a test. O Lord, open his eyes to see that the alcohol may hinder him passing the second time and that he needs to focus upon You. Clear his thoughts so that he can ponder the things of this life according to Your Word. So many times we allow failure to jumble our thinking and drive us down a path we never wanted to travel. May he understand that to You, failure is often a test, not a life sentence. Open doors for him and allow him to see You, Father. Praise Your Name and Glory to You, Omnipotent One!

    Heavenly Father, I pray for this couple as they face together this challenge to their marriage. I pray that you would show this husband his need to seek help soon for his dependence on alcohol for comfort. I ask that you draw him to you and faith in you as the source of all his needs. Use this disappointment at his workplace to cause him to reach out to you for help. I ask that you show him the path you have prepared for him to walk in every aspect of his life. I pray that you would guide him in how to love his wife and lead their home. We thank you for the faith and love of his wife that prompted her to call out for prayer support for their home. I pray that you would cover this home with your anointing of love and wisdom as this couple walks through this challenge together. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray that Satan and his army of evil that desire to destroy these lives and this marriage would be exposed for what they are. Please send your angels to battle against the evil one, and cast them out of this dwelling and these lives. I pray that you would place a hedge of protection around this couple while the Holy Spirit does his life saving work in these lives. Father, redemption is your desire, and I pray now that you would loose this redemptive power on this home. Bless this son who you so carefully created. Keep him from walking in a path of self destruction and resentment. Help him to turn to you and not alcohol as his strength and comfort. Hear our prayers on behalf of this couple, we pray !

    Heavenly Father,
    I join hands with my brothers and sisters and ask that you OPEN the eyes of this husband to the TRUTH. Let him run to you rather than run to things that destroy his body. Please set him free from the bondage of alcoholism . Give him your PEACE and heal his wounded heart . Visit this family and give them HOPE.

    Standing in agreement with these prayers. Through this experience, Lord, help this husband learn that we all fail, at one time or another. The test really is what we do after our failure. Do we stay down, defeated? Or, do we get up and try again. We pray for this husband that he will learn from this failure and move forward. Bless this family, Lord. ~gail

    Father, I return to your throne of grace, asking that you continue to watch over this couple in the aftermath of this test failure. We pray that this son will recognize and seek treatment for his alcoholism before he again tries to advance in his employment. Father, draw this son to yourself and show him that you can help him to maintain his sobriety.
