April 17, 2018 at 8:41 pmI am a Graduate Student working on a capstone project. I am a leader in a women’s group. I am a daughter and sister. I am a friend. I am a mentor. I am a Christian. I am a teacher. I am in a relationship with a good, Godly man who wants to marry me. I have a job lined up after I graduate. I have everything possible going for me. But my anxiety is so tough. Some days that I get nothing done, and I feel so guilty that I’ve told lies to cover when I mess up or get behind. My capstone is a big deal and years in the making. Only God could have brought me to where I am, and I’m grateful. But some days I’m sure I won’t finish. There are so many demands on my time, and I struggle to say no. People rely on me, but sometimes I don’t think that they can see that I need space and time to finish this degree. And so I give in, and my work suffers, and I lie to my advisors, and I fudge with my students, and I finagle with my writing accountability group, and I cry by myself, because I just feel tired. I feel like I’ll never get this done. I feel like I let everyone down. Please, just pray for me. I’ve been listening to DAB for 5 years, but I’ve never called in a prayer request because I don’t want any of the people who I’ve encouraged to listen over the years to hear me and recognize my voice. I trust God, and I have faith that one day I will vulnerable enough to call in to do more than pray for others.

April 17, 2018 at 11:45 pmDear Lord please reveal to our sister your perfect plan for peace. May you guide her is short term accomplishments and long term goals. Please teach her of the need to refresh herself by saying no for now but, yes for later. Please show her as she makes her world smaller her achievements will be greater. May she master time and reward herself a bit of it through out the day. Please cover her with comfort as she looks back and sees all she has done each day. In the loving name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray.

April 18, 2018 at 2:09 amDear Sister,
Of course, I am praying in agreement with the prayers offered above but I’d also like to suggest a book. “Boundaries” by Dr. Cloud…it is published by Zondervon. I get mine used from Amazon. He is a Christian and a PhD. Boundaries are hard for Christians, but he really explains how important they are to our mental health and success and even our faith. It really helped me.
Lord Jesus
Please, be with my sister, trying to do it all and so filled with worry and anxiety. Please reveal Yourself to her in her frantic day to day work.Keep her surrendered to your Divine Will, that she may trust you evermore and be comforted…that she does nothing in her own strength but can move mountains in collaboration with You
I pray for her in Your Holy Name
Amen

April 18, 2018 at 4:35 amDear Sister,
I felt called to Psalm 40 and today I pray this over you Proverbs 11:25.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Come with power to refresh and restore our sister, take her by the hand and lift her up. Remove all fear and worry. Bring in wisdom that helps her manage what is needed. Lord help her see situations where she needs to but her own needs first. Help her navigate this period of time and let her praise your name as she sees how much you love her and how close you will come at times of difficulty. AmenWiremanlaurenPrayers: 2Requests: 1
April 18, 2018 at 9:24 amAnxiety SUCKS from one sister to another! Father I pray that she would truly rest in you, and not just physically, but emotionally, and mentally. I pray that she would let you direct her paths, and every choice she makes. In Jesus Name <3 Everyday I have an impossible list – there is just not enough time in the day. I run a business where I am doing the jobs of 4 people right now. I am home only 4 days this month due to travel for my business etc. I have a family and all of the other “average” responsibilities that a person can have. I am a mentor to MANY and again, there is just no way for me to answer all the calls, emails, messages, etc. I think if 1 day was 48 hours, it still wouldn’t be enough. I have lived like this for the last 3 years (we used to be full time Pastors before this shift in life). Where I find peace is in knowing that the world goes on without me. God is a big enough God to help people who cry out to me when I simply can’t. I trust Him. I step back and look at things in perspective of life. Accomplishments in life come and go. Whatever you think is the worst thing that will or could happen, the world will go on, people will get over it, and God will be right there to help you get over it too and to move forward with an amazing testimony. :). May God help you prioritize your list and give you peace!
