March 7, 2021 at 12:15 am“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, (the messenger of Satan to buffet me), lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in your weakness. Paul rejoiced in his infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon him. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” (2 Cor. 12:7-10)
The enemy has deceived many in the body of Christ making them believe that Paul’s thorn was given to him by God Himself. Therefore, many have been mislead thinking that they in turn can’t be healed. Satan loves to twist scripture, (what God has said) just enough so that we will believe his lies.
Paul’s thorn came because of the abundance of revelations that he had received. So often Pauls’ thorn is attributed to him having some kind of sickness. The problem being a wrong definition of the words infirmity, and weakness. The word sickness also means (any lack or inadequacy).
The explanation of what Paul’s thorn was, (verse 7) states, “The messenger of Satan to buffet me” This perfectly explains what Paul’s thorn was. It wasn’t a thing, but a demonic messenger. It was a created being that was sent to buffet Paul not a sickness. The word buffet means to strike repeatedly as a wave would buffet the shore. Paul sought the Lord three times to try and have this buffeting demon removed from him. When the Lord responded His grace was sufficient for him. We aren’t promised not having to endure some persecution as we choose to live for Christ. Infect we are told that those who live godly lives will suffer persecutions, and buffetings in this world.
This is extremely important that we realize that the thorn in Paul’s flesh wasn’t something that Christ died to redeem us from. But rather, a agent of Satan that was sent to hinder Paul’s ministry. Through beatings, and stoning’s and all the other hardships that he suffered.
Knowing this truth will set us free! We will no longer be held captive with wrong thinking. It is the Father’s will to heal us. He doesn’t put sickness on us to keep us humble, or for any other reason. Praise God! It is the truth that we know, and understand, that makes us free!
Amen! 💓

March 7, 2021 at 11:05 amAn encouraging message. Thank you. <3
To expand, slightly, based on the definitions of these words – infirmaties & weakness – one may suffer a moral frailty of some sort, possibly interpreted as a higher degree of vulnerability to a specific temptation(s) as refered to in other scripture (Hebrews 12). See the definitions of these words below, followed by additional definitions for the words contained in the referenced scripture. 2Co 12:7-10 (KJV used)
A common theme, however, throughout scripture is the example of God’s people dealing with affliction(s)(H6040, H3906, H6869, H6887, H7451, H205, H4157, H6862, H7667, G2347, G2561, G4778, G2552) with a common meaning / theme throughout all these words of mistreatment, persecution, being looked down upon, depressed and burdened, etc. Scripture tells us that persecution and suffering, a struggle in various ways, in this life is what a disciple of Christ should expect; with Paul’s testimony indicating that it may increase, in comparison to other disciples, with revelation from God in one’s life.

March 7, 2021 at 12:08 pmTotally true! The enemy loves it when people blame God for bad things that happen to them, or in world….my daughters BF recently accepted Jesus , new babe in Christ, little knowledge, was trying to fix broken water pipes outside in -40 weather . After working 6 hours , frustrated he said, “ God why don’t you break my truck too”…he goes to his truck and sure enough , satan heard his words accusing God, and Satan threw a wrench into his truck. I told him his spoken words at that time gave the enemy permission. Our words are powerful, life & death are in the power of our tongue…..speak life. Or speak in tongues where satan doesn’t understand.
