September 26, 2016 at 1:11 pmHello Family,
After eighteen years of marriage I’ve arrived at the point that it is no longer working and I told my wife that we through.
Five years ago my (then) nine year old son was diagnosed with a rare muscular disorder and within a year he went from being a happy little boy who could run and play to being confined in a wheelchair.
My wife got him involved with the Boy Scouts, and I thought it as a good thing…..until I recently found out she’s been having an affair with the man who is the Troop Leader.
Our lives have been so hard for the last few years and I’m wondering when I might get a little bit of a break. The bad stuff just seems to keep coming.
I’m feeling lonely, and helpless, and afraid. I’ve been diagnosed with clinical depression and I’m really struggling.
Please pray for my family as we face yet another life changing event.Thank you for praying for me.
Jeff

I can’t begin to understand the things you are feeling. You must be having wide range of emotion. I desire for you the wholeness that can come only through Jesus Christ. I want to ask you a very serious questions. Do you think your Marriage is worth saving? Can you work through the struggles and forgive your wife? I know it will take time. God does not want divorce. Forgiveness goes a long to help you with depression. I truly want your family to come through this much stronger. Communicate with your wife. Also be open to how you may have contributed to her adulterous relationship. There is no excuse for what she did. She destroyed your trust in her. Do not rush and make a wrong decision. God loves you both. You know marriage takes work. Have faith in Jesus and walk in faithfulness. Praying for your family. How is your son?Concerned brother in Christ

October 10, 2016 at 3:48 pmPastor Lewis….thank you for your prayers. I don’t know if this marriage is worth saving. I’ve been hurt more deeply than I can possibly describe. All of my trust is gone. The only trust I seem to have at this moment is that God has a plan for me. I’m praying that I can “forgive those who tresspass against us” so that I can remember I’ve been forgiven too.
My son is struggling through all this, but the one thing I can take joy in is how strong he is in the Lord. He prays with me, and he believes in Christ.
Please keep praying for us……Jeff
