Please pray for my son

    Our son has moved across the country. He had found a place to live and a job. Yesterday they fired him from his job with no reason. He has had numerous struggles in the past with addition. His faith is not very strong and struggles to believe. I have been sending him words of encouragement, but he needs the security of a job since we are unable to him financially. Please lift him up for his faith to increase and for God to put him on the right path to a new job.

    Heavenly Father,

    I bring this son to you O Lord and ask that you look upon him with mercy. Lord you know everything that pertains to this son. You know why he has struggled with drugs, why he lost his job, why he has unbelief in his heart. I ask that you UPROOT the root CAUSE of all these problems that the enemy is piling in this son’s life.

    Father I pray that you silence the enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy. I ask that you please deliver this son from the snare of the enemy and bring him to a TRUE relationship with you. A relationship that bears MUCH fruit and one that will be pleasing to you.

    Save him O Lord even now. I ask that you visit him at this difficult time and help him not turn to drugs or anything that will get him into deeper problems.

    May you grant him another chance to gain MEANINGFUL employment and may he receive FAVOR from the employer.

    Heavenly Father, I thank and praise you for the faith of this mother as she shares this request with our faith community on behalf of her son. I stand with this mother and my fellow intercessors at your throne of grace, laying before you this young man who desperately needs your protection. We pray that this experience of losing his job may not cause him to return to addictive substances for comfort and relief from the pain and stress of everyday living. We pray that he will seek you for guidance during this time of transition in his life. We also pray that he will look to support groups in his area to provide him the comfort and encouragement he needs as he rebounds from the job loss. I ask that you speak to this man as only you can, and embrace him with the love of his perfect Father. Place a hedge of protection around this man and guide him in the path you have prepared for him. Provide comfort for this mother and replace any anxiety she has with your peace that passes all understanding.

    Lord, we pray that this son be comforted by your Spirit in these trials. Help him to be confident and trusting, having the peace and ability to find opportunities within his line of work to serve You. Place him in an environment full of Christians that will support and uplift him, and bring him solidly back into your service. In Jesus name I ask. Amen!
