Hey all, I am Alex from Florida that recently left a prayer request about the fact that my father died due to addiction and that I feel numb from the pain. I just wanna say, I am 20 years old and was 18 when he died. Well I am also working a 40 hour a week job and have almost no social life. I have barely any friends, and the friends I do have are not the best kind of people to be hanging around, especially as a new believer. I have been praying for a couple days for God to bring new friends into my life that I can study the bible with and just feel like I’m not alone as I walk this new path. I just want to ask for prayers for God to release the people from my life that only are holding me back and restraining me from sprouting into the new person that God wants me to be. I need new companions in my life that can lift me up on the days that I am feeling down and weak, and I can do the same for them. I feel that I need friends I can talk to about the pain caused from my dad’s death and previous events in my life, someone maybe that has even been through it before and can assist me in navigating through the grief.
