June 13, 2017 at 5:40 amI have just reacently returned to the Lord, after walking away from him for a few years. I am doing what I need to, including doing something I’m not thrilled about, but doing so is far from simple, or easy. I want to do things right, to learn more of him, to see him, but there are times I’m asking why he puts up with us humans. I know he loves, I know what the bible says, I just am having a hard time placing what is going on. I sometimes become so edgy, and sometimes, I am angry.
there are also, some other things going on, that are adding stress at this point and time. my eye is infected, I’m doing everything the doctor is telling me, our finances are a bit of a reck, and I need to get a new client. I could likely go on, but I dout that’d make for good reading here. I guess, for the time being, just pray? thanks, TeresasoundyaaPrayers: 3085Requests: 12
June 13, 2017 at 7:57 amDear Sister Teresa,
I have had times in my life when I have drifted and asked him why are you bothering still with me. I understand that, for me, there is a lot in the acknowledgement that we choose what relationship we have with him. What works for me is choosing a routine which includes God daily, at this time in life which is really the hardest I have faced, I have to focus on the day and the routine and resting him him, working hard up putting him first and not looking too far ahead. To look to far ahead at this time, for me, is to be overwhelmed and cycles of negative emotions like anger, anxiety flare up along with a lot of negative thoughts which take me down. But wow, when I have this routine with God which is DAB audio bible 3 times a day where I can, worship alongside this and where possible and prayer on here, I thrive. Its like walking on the water but not looking at the storm, rather focusing our eyes on Jesus. He is the only person who could ever ask me to live in any form of hardship because of who he is.Some verses for you:
Worship brings about Joy because most often it is contained within the heart of the songs, so I pray you can consider Psalm 47:1, know in your daily walk God says to you “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:14). Thus know God is with you and when you are near him you can do what would be impossible for others (Luke 18:27). As you get near you will walk in Gods shadow (Psalm 91:4) and as you experience events that may not be optimal, think or ask the question i’s God changing me through this?’ and pray you can see with his eyes because he is making you a new creation in him (Corinthains 5:17).God bless you Teresa, may God uplift you into the rivers of his spirit, may he cover you with his light for protection and may he give you his great joy so happiness would reign in your life. In Jesus name I pray for you.

June 13, 2017 at 3:02 pmHi Teresa,
I am praying for you. I have been there before many times in my life, and I am only now experiencing what it’s like to have some consistency in my pursuit of Jesus. It’s hard when the world pulls us down in so many different ways. It’s easy to feel spiritually stagnant and to view things like reading your bible, praying, and even listening to worship music as some what pointless. But relationships are not built on emotions alone. Stay strong sister. Find confidence in God’s redeeming love and continue to pursue Him. Continue to reach out to this community and others for help. You are not alone!
Your brother in Christ, Curtis

June 13, 2017 at 5:36 pmDear Teresa, as I was reading your post, I was reminded of a Bible verse that has helped me focus my actions on God, and it has helped me to try more to be grateful and calmer, and to not moan, however I do often stray and forget about my focus and my objective, which is to put God first and glorify Him before thinking about myself. The bible verse that is extremely helpful to remember is from Matthew 6:33, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” It is extremely difficult to do this at all times because we can’t stop sinning no matter how hard we try, but God has sacrificed His son for that reason exactly, we need to pray for guidance and peace. We need to remember to put God first and constantly remind ourselves of this by reading God’s word. I am praying for you, for you to have guidance and for serenity.
From Bee, I hope this can encourage you.tblaes2646Prayers: 10Requests: 3
June 14, 2017 at 3:36 pmThank you all for the incouraging words. I am working to do that. I’m a little behind on dab, but trying to catch up, I listen to one or two of them a knight. I do think our Lord has a sence of humer however, because we just got a kitten, and the little wrascle, is making me laugh a lot granted our older cat is not all that happy with me for the betrayal. Lol. Anyway, thank you all for the prayers. please continue to pray for our finances, and the timing, to get our bills payed when we actually have money in the account. that seems to be the trouble at this moment.

June 14, 2017 at 11:11 pmPraying for you for healing, for financial peace, for blessings with a new client so that God would bless you financially. We rejoice with the Angels that you have asked God to come back into your life and I pray that you are surrounded with brothers and sisters who are there for you and can help you shoulder your burdens.
