January 3, 2019 at 9:10 amMy marriage was to end in a divorce settlement in December. However, after finally having a face-to-face meeting she wanted to reconcile on December 17th 2018. She finally admitted to having an affair with a married man who has an ill home bound wife during our meeting. She changed her mind a few days later saying the guilt and shame was too great and wanted to proceed with the divorce. On December 23rd she texted me saying God is talking to her and she was very confused and needed time. She said we would talk after Christmas. Well, after Christmas a received a ‘Dear John’ letter that said:
“Budd, How do I begin the most difficult letter I’ve ever written. You have been so understanding through this ordeal. Seeing Gods love pour out of you, gives me such peace knowing you are in good hands. There isn’t anywhere else I’d want you to be. I know you will be fine. Our lives will be separate, but with the same goal. Share His love, allowing Him to love others through us. I wish I could give you more, but I can’t, whether I’m right or not, I know God loves me and you. My prayer is that you stay close to Him always, let Him lead you, love you and you will be fine. Your surrounded by people that love Him, that’s good.
Tell our son I’m sorry I’m not the perfect mother, but I love him, I’ll always be here for him like I always have been. No one is perfect, no one. I have enough love and forgiveness in me to waiting with open arms when and if he ever just wants to see me.
I pray also that we will remain close friends till the end. All my love Budd. Sue Ann”

January 3, 2019 at 11:42 amIt’s hard to make sense of it all brother. People and the situations we create by the millions of choices we make in our lives are complex and messy. Who but God can make sense of it all? So sorry you are going through this during what is supposed to be a time of celebration. There is no good time for news like that. Anyway, I pray that being abandoned by your wife (whatever her reasons) doesn’t lead you to feel abandoned by God. I pray that during this time of personal confusion that God in His grace speaks to you louder than the confusing and competing voices in your head. I pray that His voice of Truth is so loud during this time that it silences the angry voices of the world. I pray that you remain courageous in your faith and persistently refuse the messages of fear that the enemy would have you hear and believe. I pray that you come out the other side of this stronger, wiser and closer to our God who knows and loves us more intimately than any earthly partner. Brother, you have gone through some tough times and there is likely to be more hard times ahead but I pray that you remain strong, courageous and secure in the knowledge that God is with you even in this ungodly mess.

January 3, 2019 at 12:45 pmAmen to the prayer above!
My Brother in Christ,
I am very sorry for what you are facing. You are a Man of God and I pray that you NEVER change. God will bring you out of this terrible storm!!There is some TRUTH in what your wife says .
” Seeing Gods love pour out of you,” “There isn’t anywhere else I’d want you to be. ”
The TRUTH is that you are in the HANDS of God! The ” peace ” that your wife is claiming of having is NOT peace that comes from God. That is a false form of peace from the enemy!
I tell you the TRUTH the person to be most pitied here is your wife as she is treading on extremely DANGEROUS grounds. The enemy comes to STEAL, KILL and DESTROY! My prayer is that God will get your wife back to her right senses before the enemy completely destroys your wife for Eternity.
Please please pray for her! She needs it so desperately! May God deliver her from the claws of Satan and set her free indeed!
In Jesus name I pray
Amen!

January 3, 2019 at 1:20 pmAmen, Dear Lord may our Brother seek his comfort and peace in you. Please bring a stillness to his heart and reassurance of your love for him. May he trust in your love Lord when he can trust in no other. In the loving name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray.

January 4, 2019 at 7:18 amThank you for all of the prayers. The Holy Spirit flowed freely last night providing me with assurances of trust and faith in His ways. Let His will be done for He will be the victor in all of this mess which comes from our broken world.
My wives best spiritual sister was contacted saying she wanted to talk; presumably about what God may to saying to her.
I’ll continue to pray for my wives return to our Lord and Savior. Amen!
