June 18, 2019 at 4:59 amGood morning. My name is Nicole and I am 6 1/2 months pregnant with my first child. However I am struggling. My baby’s father is an alcoholic. He asked me to marry him a few times but I can’t put myself or my baby through that type of life. He doesn’t think he has a problem and I feel hopeless. I’m praying that the Lord will deliver him from his addiction. I’m praying that the Lord will open his eyes and show him that there is a much better way to live by being sober. Thank you.

June 18, 2019 at 6:18 amNicole, this is a good place for you to hang out – I am glad you are here and looking to God in your life. It is freeing to give God thanks in everything – it opens a door for Him to work in our lives. I thank Him for the gift of life within – may this child be blessed in every way and a blessing to you and baby’s father.
I pray you will open the father’s eyes to see the needs he has for You Father God and freedom from addiction. I pray whatever pain and emptiness is causing him to use alcohol to fill his need would be addressed. May others speak truth to him and may his ears & heart be open.I remember a man sharing he had no interest in God, but when his first child was born, he was so overwhelmed by the gift of life, he turned to the Lord. I pray this for baby’s father – may God open his eyes to the miracle of his child and the need the child has for his father care.
Keep your eyes on Jesus and pray His light and His peace in you will speak to the father. Surround yourself with those who will support you – if there is a pregnancy center nearby, they can encourage you in many ways. I pray you have a church family or pray to find a caring one. I pray for you to know your Father’s love daily. He has this and has His loving arm around you every step of your way. pastor’s wifegsimoninPrayers: 5621Requests: 43
June 18, 2019 at 10:44 amStanding in agreement with these prayers for Nicole, her unborn child, and the baby’s father. I thank You, Father, that Nicole sees clearly what is going on with the baby’s father – that he is an alcoholic, and she has not agreed to marry him. She seems to understand that the alcoholic life is not one she wants for herself nor her child. I say, “Amen!”. Give her Your wisdom and strength to do what is best for her and baby. We pray a blessing over this father that You, Lord, would work in his life to bring him to sobriety and a determination for that to be his life path forevermore.
Sister Nicole – I grew up in an alcoholic home and then unknowingly married an alcoholic. This I say: don’t do it. It’s a horrible way to live. Everyone loses. Everyone. If I knew then what I know now, my decisions would have been very different. With alcoholism, you lose the present because the alcoholic is not present with you when they are drinking. You lose the past because they can’t remember it. And you lose your future. I think it has been said well that however a man is behaving when he is courting a woman, that is usually him putting his best foot forward (check out Mark Gungor (pastor) in Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage http://www.youtube.com). If your baby’s dad’s best foot forward is him continuing to drink, I suspect after marriage things will only be much worse. You deserve better. Your baby deserves better.
My experience with alcoholics is they speak loudest with their actions. If he doesn’t think he has a problem, then you certainly will have problems if you decide to marry him. Lord, we pray for a change in this man’s life! Meanwhile, Nicole, you stand your ground. No alcohol or no family. I’m praying that you can take a strong stand against this evil. You will be in my prayers daily. If you would like to talk further, my email address is: gsimonin7@outlook.com I’d be happy to talk with you. Blessings, gailnmcgPrayers: 192Requests: 10

June 18, 2019 at 12:43 pmGail,
God bless you for your honesty. It is good that you have experienced it and thus are sharing it from TRUE experience. Well stated indeed. I pray that God will give Nicole wisdom.
Heavenly Father,
I thank you for blessing Nicole with a baby. Lord she is carrying precious life and should not be undergoing so much stress as the stress is always felt by the unborn child. I therefore ask Lord that you protect the baby as well as Nicole.
Will you please give Nicole wisdom. Will you please remove her from any situation that will HARM her and her unborn baby. Lord this is not yet a marriage as you have not joined them together. You have clearly told us in scripture:
II Corinthians 6:14 – “14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
In this case Nicole is not married yet hence Lord you can make a way of escape for her . You can lead her into a path that leads to LIFE and not destruction. I pray for this man in her life, will you please set him free from the chains of alcoholism? Save him Lord for the sake of his soul .
In Jesus name I pray
Amen

June 18, 2019 at 2:13 pmPrecious Father, I thank you for the life of Nicole and the wisdom you have already given her about such major decisions in her life. I thank you for the privilege of joining this circle of prayer for the life and health of Nicole and the beautiful life she carries. I pray that you continue to walk close by Nicole’s side and speak clearly to her about the path you have chosen for her to walk. I pray that Nicole would return to you, Lord, as her first love. Strengthen her faith in you and let her find support and nurture within a community of believers. I pray that you would pour out your Spirit on Nicole to equip her for the difficult journey ahead as a single mother. I pray for the salvation of the baby’s father and his healing from alcoholism. Merciful Father, spare the life of this son afflicted with this terrible disease that is made worse by the lies and seduction from Satan in order to keep him enslaved to addictive substances. I pray that you would have mercy on this son, and, in the name of Jesus, deliver him from these Satanic forces! Speak to him, Father, and let him hear your voice as you reveal yourself to him as his Deliverer. Father, I thank you for allowing me to pray alongside these warriors who have the godly courage and compassion to speak from the experience of their lives and their hearts.
