April 26, 2020 at 5:39 pmPlease pray for me, today I was informed by my husband that he has filed for divorce. Although I knew the relationship was unhealthy: (i.e. long-term mental health and emotional issues; unforgiveness, distrust, financial problems), something in me wanted to believe it could be salvaged and somehow there would be a “magical fairy-tale” resolution; my husband and I would somehow fall madly in love (if we ever were); we would go into ministry to help other couples and families and somehow all would be well with the world. But today after almost 33 years of marriage; he left, abandoned me. What seems to be really ugly is that he left after I took care of him for almost 5 years while he was out of work and sick (medically and mentally) and once he received [immediate] approval for disability (which I asked my DAB family to pray about. I do have peace [thank you God] but what happened today seems to be a series of events by family members to abandon me, bail out, leave me holding the $$$ bag of “their” responsibilities and the note for loans [I’ve taken out] to cover “their” expenses. How am I supposed to move forward? I am in shock. I want and need to let go; I know I do but it feels like a deja vu…I am so aware this is “not” God’s fault but more like, I got you daughter, I got you. PLEASE pray for me.

April 26, 2020 at 9:18 pmFather in heaven, I pray you will send her a great Christian financial counselor to help her get these burdensome debts in order. It would be nice if the divorce would address that, but I pray she will have help to get her good name saved while paying it off “as unto You if need be.” This person doesn’t seem to show her love. May she release them and be made whole by You. Bless her with forgiveness all around, protect her from bitterness, keep her calm, You will show up to give her strength. This we know. May she never forget, You saw her through it. IN Jesus name
