My youngest (father of my grandson who will be marrying the mom, Kayla, in 2021; both of them having been in addiction recovery and both doing well for 7 years now) hurt his foot due to his anger. He has 2 fractures in his calcaneus bone in his heel and fluid build-up. He is an hourly worker now on short-term disability for the last month. He has walked away from faith and wants nothing to do with it (unlike Kayla, who is finding God along with my 5-year-old grandson who last visit told me he has Jesus in his heart. AMEN!!). I have been in deep angst for Matt his whole life (learning issues, depression, then addiction). I am deeply encouraged by the fact that God is moving in Kayla’s and Carter’s lives. But my son will not let go of his unfounded anger and resentment. I search for answers but cannot find any reason for his anger, etc. He may have asked Jesus into his heart at the height of his addiction but I did not see fruit then, and certainly he’s in bondage now. He needs to get healed and back to work as he is sole financial support for 3 people.
