October 2, 2020 at 12:30 pmMy youngest (father of my grandson who will be marrying the mom, Kayla, in 2021; both of them having been in addiction recovery and both doing well for 7 years now) hurt his foot due to his anger. He has 2 fractures in his calcaneus bone in his heel and fluid build-up. He is an hourly worker now on short-term disability for the last month. He has walked away from faith and wants nothing to do with it (unlike Kayla, who is finding God along with my 5-year-old grandson who last visit told me he has Jesus in his heart. AMEN!!). I have been in deep angst for Matt his whole life (learning issues, depression, then addiction). I am deeply encouraged by the fact that God is moving in Kayla’s and Carter’s lives. But my son will not let go of his unfounded anger and resentment. I search for answers but cannot find any reason for his anger, etc. He may have asked Jesus into his heart at the height of his addiction but I did not see fruit then, and certainly he’s in bondage now. He needs to get healed and back to work as he is sole financial support for 3 people.

October 2, 2020 at 3:48 pmAbba, we come to You with hearts that love You. And with hearts that believe in Your restoring power. We pray for Matt, and ask dear Lord, that whatever the cause of Matt’s anger is. That You will come alongside him, and help him to get free! Lord, let him find You again. He may have drifted away. But, by the power of Your love, bring him back to You. Set him free! from his addictive tendencies. Bring strong roll models into his life, that can mentor him, in the things that pertain to what a godly man/husband/Father,should look like, and act like.
We brake the enemies hold on him. And declare life over him. We believe that there are good days ahead for Matt.”For, if God be for us, then who can be against us”.In Jesus name, we pray. Amen!
Beloved
