Behold a sonPrayers: 21Requests: 22
January 13, 2021 at 1:39 amI want to do right so bad and have been struggling with alcoholic binges at least once a month. It had affected every area of my life from work to being a father. I even go through withdraws after I stop my week long binges. I want to be free from this once and for all to overcome in Christ through Christ.

January 13, 2021 at 12:31 pmDear Jesus, you know everything about Reuben and you love him deeply. Please give him the determination to reach out to get Godly counseling and any other support to heal his inner man. Give him revelation into the root cause of this dis-ease of his spirit. We ask for a mighty healing that is complete. May he be steadfast in bringing every negative thought to you Lord. Give him a spirit like Solomon that he can be wise, discerning and self aware. May he know/feel/trust the depth of your love. Amen.

January 13, 2021 at 3:08 pmLord, thank You for Your delivering power. I too was in a place of deep despair wanting so desperately to be free from my addiction to alcohol. Ruben I can understand your struggle. I drank insistently for 15 years. Lost everything, relationships, job, money, my health, and almost my sanity. I ended up living on skid row for two years. Sleeping in alleys, on cardboard boxes, or many times in the drunk tank in the local jail. I fed myself by stealing, and eating out of dumpsters. I lost touch with what was real, and lived in a fog, only coming out of it occasionally long enough to find my next bottle, or my next half eaten sandwich. I’m not proud of the many waisted years I spent drinking my life away. I must warn you that in the beginning, what you have described is very similar to how I was living before I spiraled down, and out of control. This being said, there is hope, And His name is Jesus! Before I was saved, I had hit rock bottom. Truthfully, I had no place to look, but up. Thankfully, that’s what I did. I know that what enabled me to reach out to the Lord, was His Holy Spirit dealing with me. I believe that He is doing the same in your heart right now. Don’t turn away from Him. With everything that you can muster, cry out to the God who cares deeply for you. Being desperate for change is a good thing. It’s what helped to bring me to my knees, pleading for God’s help. Swallow your pride if you have to. You don’t want to end up like me. Life is a gift, and it’s to short to be wasting it. I pray that you make it to the place of absolute surrender brother Ruben. When you do, He will be waiting there for you.
God bless, I will be praying for you.
In Jesus matchless name we pray, Amen!
