November 22, 2017 at 8:34 amGood Morning DAB Family,
This Thanksgiving I’ll be spending the holiday’s alone. I have two kittens I just adopted and I know they’ll help to keep me company. But I surely miss times with my family (they live out of state and this year I can’t travel to them.)
Last year I went through a break up of a 5 year relationship. It was an ungodly relationship – a relationship not founded in or of God. It was an emotionally abusive relationship and therefore good than I’m out of the relationship. But as the holiday’s approach it can be difficult to be alone. However alone is better than an ungodly and abusive relationship.
I could use prayer for being sad, feeling blue and lonely with the holidays approaching.
Thanks DAB Family!! Praying for you all!soundyaaPrayers: 3085Requests: 12
November 22, 2017 at 9:24 amThank you for this request. I will certainly be praying for you. I spent along time living alone. Will be praying for you over this weekend. Recently, this year in fact, I have spent more time devoting myself to prayer, worship and the word. What I have found is the most amazing relationship with our Lord, that I never thought about before, it didnt occur to me just how good it could be. I pray that over this weekend you would see him clearly showing up for you, putting people in your path to help you feel comfort. His love for you is wonderful and pure.
Will go ahead and pray now.Dear Lord Jesus,
Please help bollyn11 at this time. Help her feel and see your love. Let her know how close you can come as she seeks you. May your love surround her and support her. Lord let her gain great strength in you and receive you joy in abundance. Lord go before her this weekend so she would feel less alone and comforted. Amen.PraiseHimPrayers: 1075Requests: 110
November 22, 2017 at 11:55 amFather, giving You thanks and praise for this request, the Prayer Wall and DAB…for this person with the request, too. You are SO good! This earth is not our home. Here we have sickness, suffering, pain and sin. Remind this person of Your deep love for them. Remind them that this time on earth is short and that the BEST is yet to come! May they be encouraged and excited just thinking about it as I always am. I’m SO looking forward to seeing You face-to-face. In the meantime we do need encouragement. Thank You for getting them out of the bad relationship. I remember those days and I’m SO thankful I’m not still there. No thank you! I appreciate the peace and joy of knowing that at least I’m treating myself well, may they, too, have that same joy and peace. Kittens are so cute and so I thank You they have them. No, they are not the same as celebrating with family for Thanksgiving, but they are friends and can become family. As Andy prayed, I pray that during this time, their relationship with You would grow deeper and stronger. That is a thrill. I’ve been there, too and thankfully, still am! It’s good to give thanks to You, Lord. I love going on and on about all the ways I have to be thankful. I am SO thankful!! Let this person go over all the ways You are good. Let them speak to You just as a close friend. It takes faith, risk and surrender to do that. It also takes obedience. Give them all that and more so that they will enjoy You and being alone with You this Thanksgiving if that’s the way it will be. King of Kings, Maker of the universe, creation and ALL things!! What an honor! What a privilege to wake up with You, spend the day with You, dine with You and celebrate Thanksgiving with You. Remind them. Remind me. I often appreciate time alone and silence so I can meditate on these kind of things and really take the reality all in. It is so special. I want it for everyone. I know most people never know it or have the opportunity to enjoy it. I relish it! I am so thankful. Yes, You give us beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for sadness. Pour over on this person. I thank You for what You will do. I thank You for the Prayer Wall (again) and for all of DAB. I am rich. We are rich in You. Wow!! Blues fly away…may the Light of the World shine brightly from inside this person. May it radiate all around them. Bless them today and this Thanksgiving. As we head into the Christmas season, keep us ever mindful of the great gift You gave to us and to the world…Jesus. Show us how to enjoy Your good gift and how to share Him with others so that You will be glorified, honored and praised. You deserve it all!! You shower us with SO many gifts. We have ALL we need in You. Thank You!! Happy Thanksgiving! And what a gift to live in the USA. We are a blessed nation because of Your goodness and mercy. Teach us to honor You with this gift and always give you thanks. Amen and Amen. Blessings, beloved of the Lord. Peace be with you. Thank you for sharing. I will be praying for you. Shalom, Janel
