January 13, 2020 at 11:31 amIn the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I return to this altar to intercede for Tim and his family as Tim appears to be losing his battle with cancer. Prayers for Tim’s battle with cancer have been posted on this wall for months. Our human hearts weep at the thought that he might die. Our spiritual hearts rejoice because of Tim’s life of faith, and the certainty that one day, he will pass into eternal life with you. Relieve Tim of his suffering and pain this day, and allow him to enjoy the blessing and ministry of his family and friends.

January 13, 2020 at 3:14 pmFather in heaven, I pray you will bless Tim and his family and his ministry with his return to complete health. Nothing is impossible with You. We rejoice with You to see Your will accomplished in Tim’s life. We stand beside Tim. If it were possible we would bear his pain. Give him extra strength, extra faith, extra help, abundant grace. January 16, 2020 at 12:32 pmDear DAB Prayer Warriors – It’s been hectic around here. Our cousin, Janice, from New York was here visiting him last week. Then our Tim was transported to the hospital this past Sunday afternoon in an ambulance. He was having great difficulty breathing. He has been in the hospital ever since, and we don’t expect him to come home. With the care and medicines in the hospital, he has rallied. I see this as a reprieve. Yesterday his son, Kyle, arrived from London, and his daughter, Megan, from Tulsa. He was so glad to see them! And, he’s made it clear even though he knows he’s going to heaven, he isn’t ready to go yet. The family has been staying with him 24/7 while many friends come to express their love and gratitude for his life and example. Short of a miracle – which we pray for daily – we know it’s only a matter of time: the cancer is invading his lungs. We see God’s hand at work in that he is in no pain. Whenever the Lord calls him home, we pray his passing will be peaceful and easy. Meanwhile, the family is taking every opportunity to love on him. Pray for us all as we process our grief and say goodbye to one fine heck of a faithful Christian man. Blessings, gail

January 16, 2020 at 4:57 pmDear Gail,
Tell our beloved Tim that he is so much loved by the Lord and all of us. We have prayed and the Lord has answered. the Healing is either here on Earth or Heaven ! He has great rewards awaiting him and a body that is imperishable. Let him know that God who has taken care of many Saints that have left their loved ones will take care of his dear wife and family. At this time, there is no need to worry since the Lord asks us not to worry. Let him gaze into glory and wait on the King of Kings who awaits in anticipation for him.
Earth is our TEMPORARY address. Remind him that the only hell he will experience is here on earth and that is why the Lord wants to show him what TRUE HEALTH and HAPPINESS really feels like! There will be no more chemo! No more lung infections! No more loss of appetite!! He will eat all the ice -cream that he likes because I know how much he loves Ice- cream!!
Tell him, not many get the opportunity to be with their loved ones before they depart to the next world! Many are called tragically! He is among the few who get to tell his loved ones how much he loves them! he is among the few who still has the chance to make his life right with God! Many never get the chance to repent as their life is SUDDENLY snuffed out!
It shall be well with you Tim!! When I get to heaven, you will be among the people I will ask to see .
Rejoice in the Lord beloved! Though your body here on earth is wasting away … what awaits you is IMPERISHABLE!!!I rejoice in that!!
We love you Tim! This is just a change of address from earth to heaven beloved!! Have that assurance and know that God is waiting on you to accept that so you can peacefully transition home.
See you soon beloved! Our journey here on earth is so so short.
Love you Tim!
Yours sister in Christ

January 17, 2020 at 11:43 amBrothers and Sisters – We can’t even begin to express our gratitude for your heartfelt prayers, they mean so much to us. We feel that you are walking beside us as we walk beside our beloved Tim as he walks through the valley of death. When the time is right, our Lord will call him home. Lord, help us remain strong and faithful to You. This is hard.
We know that “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: take care of orphans and widows in their affliction, and keep oneself unstained from the world” (James 1:27 ) Our family and their friends will take care of Jacquie and walk beside her.
Sheila – You are SO right about Tim liking ice cream! That comment made me smile and laugh. For now, Tim is finishing up some details of a tour that he has arranged for a group of junior high students. I know he wants that done before he leaves this earth. We’ll see what the Lord has to say about that.
Felix – We can hear your tender heart in your prayers. Humbly we thank you. ~gail

January 18, 2020 at 1:34 pmThank you kindly, Patty. Our Tim is a 49er (football) faithful and has been for years. We are hoping to watch the game with him tomorrow, and that they win – for Tim. We’ve been at the hospital for 5, 6, 7 hours a day. Give us wisdom to know when to visit, and when to come home. We’re On Call 24/7. Help us redeem this time well. Lord, whoever needs to see our Tim, help them get here. Bless each and every person who has come, who loves Tim and grieves for him. Help us focus on his eternal home. Someone said yesterday that IF we knew now what Tim will know soon of heaven, he will ask, “Why did I delay??” It’s giving all of us time to process and more importantly time with his wife and adult children.
Last evening his doctor moved him to a quieter floor, removed the heart monitor and stopped the IV antibiotic, put him on palliative care with instructions to give him morphine whenever he asks for it. The morphine is helping him cough less. Give him and us courage Lord. ~gail

January 19, 2020 at 10:46 amMy favorite part of yesterday was when saying goodnight to Tim, he kissed me on the cheek. So sweet. So kind. You just never know how things will play out. Tim has had many visitors. At one point we were asked not to come and we honored that request. Hours later Tim asked for us. Of course we went right over. ~gail

January 19, 2020 at 10:02 pmFather, thank you and praise you for the many ways Tim’s journey with cancer and his tremendous faith have ministered and encouraged our community. You are so gentle and so kind to us, and you never fail to use every event in our lives to mold us and shape us into your image.

January 21, 2020 at 11:18 amOur Tim was very happy to watch the 49er game and that they won! It’s nice that he is able to communicate with everyone, however briefly. Yesterday he had more color in his face, but his breathing was more shallow, and the coughing continues.
Ativan has been added to his medications to help him have less anxiety, cough less, and sleep better. It has some side effects – yesterday he pushed the Nurse Call button to ask her to come help him get ready for church. There was no church service, and he wasn’t going even if there had been.
Give us Your wisdom, Lord, and Your courage to faithfully walk beside him in his hour of need. ~gail

We ask for Your wisdom, Lord, Your Spirit to hover over the family as they minister to Tim. In the midst of sadness, we know there is great joy. Be with them now, in Jesus Name.

January 22, 2020 at 11:14 amDAB Prayer Warriors – Your prayers are having a noticeable affect: our family is in one accord with our Tim’s care. We are all on the same page, without even having to discuss it. A few things have come up at the hospital where the assembled family said “Yes, that’s fine” or “NO! We’re not doing that!”. Such a blessing to share in this unity of spirit.
P.S. I know I will eventually get back to praying for people on the Prayer Wall. Right now, it’s all I can do to update you on our Tim. ~gail
