Hello family, we are calling on all prayer warriors for my dear friend’s momma. She is such a light in so many people’s lives, a pastor’s wife and mom to 3 amazing kids. This was so unexpected and sudden and beyond healing please pray for wisdom for the doctors and peace for the family whatever the Lord’s plan may be. We believe in the power of prayer! Thank you all so much 🙏 A word from my friend’s dad below an hour ago: “Please be praying for my precious wife, Cindy. Last week Cindy had a case of shingles inside her mouth that began to affect her eyes. Even with appropriate medication and painkillers, the burning pain in her head only continue to intensify and spread to the rest of her head and down her left side – which caused numbness and pain. After an MRI on Tuesday (3/14) revealed lesions and swelling in her brain, she was immediately admitted to the hospital. Further imaging of her brain and spine as well as a lumbar puncture showed more lesions in the cervical area of her spine. The medical team believe that she has a very rare disease called neuromyelitis optica (NMO). NMO is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system that causes inflammation of the optic nerves and spinal cord. Even though the medical team have been diligently fighting this relatively unknown disease in a logical progression, she continues to decline. This afternoon after a rapid breakdown, the decision was made to move her to ICU and gather our family. I believe that unless the Lord intervenes, He will be calling her home shortly to be with Him. Please pray that the Father would be glorified in Cindy’s life – whether in healing or in being called home to eternal joy – and that our family will be comforted with His perfect love through this difficult season.”
