Veteran moving/isolated

    Hi, I’m a veteran and I am moving from the Los Angeles area to South Carolina tomorrow December 5. About a year ago I lost my family, they basically all rejected me because I came back to God. There’s no hope of reconciliation, I’ve tried. In April 2025, I underwent three major back surgeries completely alone, and I have done everything in life alone since then. I have no friends or support. No one even to talk to. I decided to move because my Army buddy realized I was suicidal on Thanksgiving and offered me a place to live until I could get housing in SC. So we arranged everything in one week! So I would appreciate prayers for traveling, and prayers for my cat who has never been on a plane. Also prayers that I will find a new church, new friends, new family, and be established and happy in a new place. Continuing recovery from my surgery so I can get a new job. And also please pray for my Army buddy… his name is Eric: I’ve known him 23 years and he claims he’s an atheist but I think this is my chance to show him God’s love so he can be saved. He’s the only friend I have in the world right now. I’m grateful that neither of us will be alone for Christmas. Thank you if you think of me in your prayers. Valerie Rose Elias

    Valerie, I recently moved back to Portland, Oregon from North Carolina and I know that trip very well. Thank you for reaching out to us for prayer! You are never alone. We are always here for you and we are your family. We love you and we pray for your back surgery and your move. We are also praying for your cat’s ability to acclimate to their new surrounding. Please reach out as much as you can as you’ll be in our prayers constantly moving forward. You are absolutely correct about being the light to show your “atheist” friend what it means to be a follower of Christ. Your story alone will illustrate just how much God is working in your life and in this world. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Keep the faith and don’t lose hope.     Lifting you up in prayer! What a friend we have in Jesus and how great that you are getting to spend time with a friend in North Carolina who cares for you and wants the best for you! I am praying for your safety, for Gods hand on your life, and for you to get to do kingdom work in a new state with new people.
