November 2, 2016 at 11:52 amI agree with jtylerk9!!! As a friend used to say every time his needs were met, “Look at God!” He has gone to be with the Lord now for some years, but I will never forget him. He is one of the people God sent in our lives, who taught us about living by faith and trusting God to meet our every need. We are still doing it today. Living on a fixed income can get very scary sometimes, especially when unexpected things come up. Recently we had to have new breaks on our car, also had to have a plumber come to fix a leak, and now I am going to have to have the furnace look after, because it will not come on. In days of old I would be a basket case trying to figure out what to do and how to do it. But thank God my husband and I cast it over to the Lord, knowing He knew about all of this, way before we did and He has already made the way . We are Standing on His Word!!! These are needs and we trust He will do what He says He will do, and that is, to meet our every Need. Look how He is opening doors for you and your wife!!! I got excited reading it. I kept saying to myself, “Look at God!!!” “Look at God.”!!!!!!!!!!!
I come on the Prayer wall almost everyday. I don’t read my emails that often, so it is more convenient for me to continue on the Prayer Wall. There are so many people who have prayer request, and I come here to pray. I hope we can stay in touch this way, but if not remember to “Keep Trusting God to supply your every need!!! Phil. 4v19 Hang on to the Scripture you quoted, God brought that back to you for comfort. He talks to us through His Word. May God’s Blessings continue to overflow in your lives!!!mjngpotterPrayers: 18Requests: 4

November 3, 2016 at 12:45 pmYou know I forgot to tell you when I wrote to you yesterday, that Scripture from Proverbs is taped on my fridge. It is one of my favorites and one of the first ones I found after I started reading my Bible. All we have to do, is do what it says!!!
I am enclosing my e-mail address because the thought came to me, that if DAB removes this Prayer request from the Prayer Room, I would lose touch with you, and I don’t want to do that. I don’t often check my email, but I will, if I know you will be writing to me. I am continuing to pray for you and your family, and covet your prayers as well. Things get a little hectic around here sometimes, and it gets very easy for me to take my eyes off of God, and concentrate on the problem. I am delighted that your personal relationship with the Lord is growing stronger. The Bible tells us that He loves us with an everlasting Love!!! He is on our side, and no devil in hell can change that. So continue to draw near to God, and He will draw near to you!!! James 4:8 My e-mail address is, himmel2@sbcglobal.net and my name is Ruth Lewis. Lets continue to stay in touch to keep one another Encouraged. I wish God’s choices Blessings on you, and your family!!!mjngpotterPrayers: 18Requests: 4
November 4, 2016 at 12:59 pmHi Ruth,
Yes, that passage in Proverbs is and has in the past been very encouraging. How is it, that despite Gods great provision, as human beings, we still fear and certainly in my case, doubt?!
Paul talks somewhere about this kind of thing doesn’t he…
Referring to sin in his life, I’m sure he says something like how is it I continue to sin, repent, ask for forgiveness then sin again.I’ve emailed you. So we can continue either here or there now.
Regards to you and yours ?

November 5, 2016 at 8:31 amGood morning Ruth,
I thought you might like to know, I have an interview. My interview is to be held on 17 Nov.
I am ashamed to say that i could hear doubt circling around the back of my mind the past couple of says. Not taking hold, but almost taunting me. Please take heart in knowing that by turning back to your testimonies and the scriptures you’ve referred to, I have held on to Gods promises. You have repeatedly asked me to keep my eyes fixed on Him, I guess because you’ve been there already, you know how it plays out when we put our trust in God. In the hecticness (I think I may have made that word up ?) of life please be reminded of your words to me and give the problem to God, who by the tremendous grace of Jesus had our sin nailed.
I am pretty sure we’re all a work in progress, as I imagine we’ll always be (until we meet Jesus face to face). But what a God though hey?! Unrelenting love, beyond compare and even understanding.
Bye for now Ruth, am praying for you.

November 5, 2016 at 11:59 amDear Matt, You can be assured that my husband and I will be praying for you and that the job interview will be successful. I know doubt will creep in, but you have to push it out and rest in the Lord. Here is another one of my favorite Scriptures from the Book of Psalms. Psalm 84v11&12. Take comfort in it because it is a goody!!!
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord gives grace and glory;
No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

O Lord of hosts,
How blessed is the man who trusts in You!
This morning before I signed on to DAB site, I was reading from one of my devotional booklets. It had a quote in it from the Author Max Lucado. “Let’s take Jesus at His Word. When He says we’re provided for, lets stop worrying.” Now the Lord knew I had some worries trying to creep into my mine, and wanted to assured me that He has already taken care of everything. After reading that, I began to relax. That’s what I want you to do also. We are trusting God!!! I will close for now with one of my very favorite Scriptures , Psalms 84v11. For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.

O Lord of hosts,
Blessed is the man who trusts in You! I pray this will bless you also . Just like we want the best for our children, He being our Heavenly Father wants the very best for us. I will check out the email later today, Blessings to you and your family!!! Ruthlewis.ruth14Prayers: 54Requests: 1

November 12, 2016 at 8:59 pmThank you both, Ruth and Matt, for allowing us to glimpse the encouragements that pass between you. For as the Lord’s light radiates in your discourse it shines on out faces too. It illuminates very dark times.

November 13, 2016 at 3:22 pmThank you both for your encouraging words Matt & Byron. There are people here in the U S that are acting absolutely crazy, because of the results of this election. I am so thankful that I know God the Father, Jesus His Precious Son the Dear Holy Spirit. I know God is in Heaven and orchestrating everything that happens. He knows what He is doing, and my Faith in Him tells me to be calm and trust Him. That’s what I am doing. There are people protesting and getting themselves arrested. That will not change things. What will change things is found in 2nd Chronicles 7:14, If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Also people need to love one another. There is just to much hate in the world today. My two grandsons are very sad these days, . because two of their friends committed suicide last week. One of then was in the 6th grade, and the other one was in 8th grade. They were being bullied. Wishing you both a Blessed week !!! Ruth

November 14, 2016 at 4:51 pmThanks so much for the encouragement found in this thread. Ruth, Matt, Byron, Definitely praying for our country, for healing, for unity, and the ability to trust in God despite all the circumstances. I think there would have been protests either way, with a Trump or Clinton win. We praise Him for Him for His unfailing goodness and His ability to use anyone despite any failings. We must unite in prayer against bullying at all levels, from adolescents up to the highest office in the land. Blessings and keep praying. Joyce

November 17, 2016 at 7:40 pmI have also found encouragement through this thread. Reading each and every word over and over again. It has been a while since I was last on the prayer wall, but today I needed to pray. Suddenly I remembered the job interview and wondered how it went, not realizing today is the day.
Heavenly Father, please help this family, give them the miracle they deserve. Let Matt feel calm and confident, shine your light down on him during this stressful time. Show this family the wonderful path that is planned for them and bless them with good news today. Amen.

November 21, 2016 at 2:34 pmDear mjngpotter,
I too am extremely excited for you, and how God has answered all of our prayers. We serve a Mighty God who loves us and cares for us more than we can imagine. I know how much I love my children and my grandchild, and God loves us more than that!!! When I sit and think on this kind of love and it’s unconditional too, all I can say is “Wow”
When my husband and I first learned that we are to walk by faith and not by sight, it was very hard to take that first faith walk. The denomination we were in at that time did not teach walking by faith, nor at that time did they teach about the Holy Spirit. I think they do now. We are so grateful that God led us out of it and in doing so we learned that without faith we cannot please God!!! We also learned the power of the Holy Spirit. We were in our 40’s and now we are in our 80”s. We have had some very exciting years walking by faith. O yes there were some very nervous time, and most of it was because of our finances. So when you said you were nervous while waiting in the car, I don’t think God minds that, as long as your faith held out. As I prayed for you to get this job, I also knew that if you did not get it, the Lord had something better for you. Standing on Psalm 84v11,”For the Lord is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Last year my son was laid off of his job because of down sizing. Being that he was in his 40’s, it was not easy for him to obtain employment. We were praying and believing God that he would find A job that would pay him more money, and have even better benefits then the previous job. After putting in several applications and waiting to hear from them, it would have been so easy for us all to lose faith, but thank God we all stood on Psalm 84;11. After a long wait, he heard from one of the positions he had applied for. Guess what? Our prayers were answered just the way we had prayed and believed. He was offered more money, much better benefits, as well as more vacation time, which we hadn’t pray for that!!! To top it off because he is in computers, he is able to work from home several days out of the week. “Look at God.”
You are building a faith wall, and every time you take a step of faith, you are adding another brick to that wall. The wall will get higher and your faith will become stronger!!! I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers as you start on your new journey!!!
Your friend in Christ Jesus,
