fergyjuniorPrayers: 5Requests: 5
July 27, 2018 at 2:30 amI posted a prayer about a month or two again. My thinking is that I need to pray more for my wife. I struggle to know if she has some form of a mental health problem, question whether she is saved, and get really confused trying to live with her. My prayer is that our family will stay intact. I have tried to have her see mental health and she refuses claiming that is now just a ploy that I can later use to gain custody of our daughter if we got divorced. There is pain and drama routinely. She has locked me out of the house, now is hiding my car key where I have to use our other vehicle, took my credit cards in the past, truths often get twisted, and I feel as if I just get walked all over. The alarming fact is that she never willfully asks for forgiveness because she thinks that she really does nothing wrong. In the five years we have been married, she has not freely said that she messed up and did something wrong. She will only say she is sorry if I bring something up or demand an apology. It is a frustrating lifestyle. The chaplain encourages me to just endure everything. For the sake of our daughter and my commitment to God, I agree. My prayer is that my wife’s heart will be softened. She threatens to leave all the time. I pray that she will turn to Christ and actually be a loving person. If she does have a personality disorder for the sake of her, our marriage, and sanity, I pray that she will become humble enough to be open to receiving help from a mental health physician. Lastly, I pray for protection. I fear for my safety as she has threatened to jeopardize my career and has even gotten the authorities involved. Being a male in reality puts us at a disadvantage in marital domestic issues. May the Lord safeguard my sanity, protect me from evil attacks, grant me wisdom, and may I be shrewd to deal with whatever trials I am faced with.

July 27, 2018 at 8:31 amIm sorry for your current situation. My family deals with a lot of mental health issues. My brother just had a manic episode, which costs him and his wife their foster child. I struggle from anxiety, and it has really hindered my relationship with my wife. It does seem like she might struggle with some mental health issues, and I know that can be very hard to live with. Lord Jesus, I pray for my friend that I do not know, I pray for him and his wife and their family. Jesus, will you break through any chains, that are preventing the from experience you fully. May you help his wife get the help she needs, if that is the case. May you help him continue to live and act full of grace and truth. In Jesus name, amen.

July 27, 2018 at 9:03 amI will be praying for your marriage! I know that I dont know your wife and I am not a mental health professional, but I do have mental illness in my own family and what you are describing sounds very similar to one of my family members. Have you ever heard of borderline personality disorder? Again, I am not a professional, just sounds like familiar behavior. If it helps great, if not, we are still praying for you and your wife to have answers. Lord, let your presence and direction be evident in this family. Please bring about healing. Give this husband and their children strength and a clear mind as they deal with this confusion around them. Help them to respond in love. I also ask that you set this woman free of whatever it is that is holding her captive from experiencing the fullness of life and marriage. In Jesus Name, Amen!
