FAQ
DAILY AUDIO BIBLE

A Few. How often can I call? Once per day. Additionally, we don't allow 'product placement' on the prayer line. This means that we don't allow book suggestions, movie suggestions, music suggestions, diet and eating resources, mental or physical health advice, legal advice, political advice, financial advice, or commentary etc. We also don't allow suggestions to: "stream this music", "watch this movie", "read this post about_____", "follow me on social media", "follow this diet program", "fight your disease using these methods", "deal with mental health issues this way", "download my app", "attend a conference that me or my church is putting on" etc. We've experienced tens of thousands of calls over the years and we've seen these types of calls used in ways that turn the line into a vehicle to market, or as a stage to present, rather than its intended purpose--an opportunity to connect and pray for each other. We also do not allow calls that only offer advice but are not prayer or encouragement related. Nor do we allow 'audio-blogging,' serial calling, or polling ("What do you guys think about.....") We ask that you refrain from reading from copyrighted devotional or prayer materials or create a series of calls reading from published devotional materials. Here's the deal friends, we love books, movies, music, ministries, blogs, healthy lifestyle resources, healing, and every other form of communication but the prayer line isn't the proper forum. Talking about these on our social media channels is a better fit. We also don't allow the public exchange of phone numbers, solicitations for missions trips, monthly bills, gofundme (or similar) appeals and the like. These have been abused in the past in unhealthy ways that are not in keeping with the spirit of the prayer line.

The size of your download depends on what you're purchasing.
- A single song is typically around 4 MB.
- A full album is often 50 MB or more.
- A complete year's worth of audio or a film download can be several gigabytes in size.
For larger downloads, we recommend using a fast, stable internet connection to help ensure the download completes successfully.
Large downloads are often provided as ZIP (compressed) files. Most modern computers can open ZIP files automatically. After extracting (unzipping) the files, you can import them into the application you want to use. For example, if you download a music album, you can unzip the files and then import them into a media library such as Apple Music (formerly iTunes) or another compatible media player.
We ship in-stock items every Monday through Friday. During checkout, you'll be provided with an estimated delivery date based on the available shipping options, so you'll know approximately when to expect your order.

Every day we jump immediately into the Scriptures. This is followed by commentary or prayer that applies specifically to what we've just read.
From there we give any community announcements and finally hear prayer requests, comments and good news from the community.
At the end of the week there is a longer prayer program that helps us keep up with what is going on in the community.
Yes! You can follow along with the daily reading in several ways.
In the Daily Audio Bible app, simply open the player and select the Read tab to view the day's Scripture as you listen. The same feature is also available in the DAB Web Player.

Daily Audio Bible uses a variety of Bible translations to give listeners a richer understanding of Scripture.
When we read the Bible in English every day, it's easy to forget that the original Scriptures were written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Translating those languages into modern English is a complex process, and different translation teams take different approaches. Some translations focus on preserving the original wording as closely as possible, while others emphasize conveying the meaning of a complete thought in today's language. Both approaches are valuable and help illuminate different aspects of the text.
Biblical translation also considers the historical and cultural context of the original audience, making it a careful balance between accuracy, readability, and meaning. By rotating translations throughout the year, Daily Audio Bible allows listeners to experience the depth of the extensive scholarship that has gone into faithfully bringing God's Word from its original languages into English.
Many listeners discover new insights and a fresh appreciation for familiar passages by hearing them from different translation perspectives throughout the year.
Life can be busy and overwhelming. Taking a moment to step away from the noise and settle into a place of peace can be deeply restorative—if we're willing to slow down and receive it.
That's the heart behind Daily Audio Bible. Each day is intentionally crafted to provide a consistent, welcoming space where you can tune out the distractions of everyday life and tune in to God's Word. Our hope is that it becomes a place of peace, encouragement, and renewal as you journey through the Bible each day.
