Thank you so much to everybody who prayed for Nathan. He’s doing better than we could have imagined he would. He was in “the hole” for the last 15 months of his term and only left his cell 3 times in 15 months. Despite that he seems mentally healthy and well balanced. He says the hole is the best thing that ever happened to him – he got clean from drugs, stopped smoking, and fortunately he had a bunkie he became very good friends with. He’s so grateful for everything. He spends every moment of every day with family – goes to work with his brother and stepdad learning the family business, goes to the gym with them, then home to his fiance and child and they go to his parents for dinner then home. Today I took him to ride my horses and he had the time of his life. He’s my new riding partner. He’s 28 and has been in prison 9 out of the last 10 years, plus most of his childhood was spent in juvy. He had an extremely rough early childhood and I think institutions felt safer to him than the “real world.” Now the real world is safe and peaceful and welcoming for him and he has many people who are loving and supportive. He truly seems changed now – truly at peace. Please continue to pray for him – that he remains at peace and that he will love his life and continue to be calm and a good father and fiance (eventually husband). We all know this is the honeymoon period and just pray that it will last. His mother (my sister) is doing much better now. Thank you to those who have prayed for her.
