Father in heaven, I pray for comfort for this dear husband and the family and friends who are grieving the lost of this dear woman. I pray for strength to make it through, a compassionate pastor to give their service, tender support for the mourners. May her favorite songs be played. May the sunshine and laughter of the past be remembered. May he be at peace knowing you are sovereign. Your sovereignty alone gives me comfort in hard times. Jesus wept. We weep also when a loved one is gone. Hope for tomorrow is only found in You. In Jesus name

Heavenly Father, I join this circle of intercession on behalf of this grieving husband. I pray that you will find a way to touch the heart of this son and give him hope. I ask that you become his constant companion and become his daily bread so that he will not be drawn to self pity or resentment. Father, I know that you experienced the loss of your own son, and that you understand grief and loss far better than we can. I pray that at the appropriate time, you will minister to this son the healing power of gratitude and forgiveness.
