I know this stress and God has you in His hand, no matter the outcome. Dear Father, have mercy on our brother, and let your peace fill him. Bring back to mind the goodness of your faithful times of the past. Help him learn new trust for you even in this moment. If this is to be a meeting where a job is lost, I pray you would provide a sense of clarity and confidence that you know the direction our. Either needs to take from here moving forward. Similarly, even if it is not a question of losing this job, I pray your grace that he could relinquish the fear of serving a human master and see how he is ultimately serving you in every circumstance. Please ease his fears for the provision of money. Please ease fears over a potential loss of identity that might come with an occupation. Help him truly grasp from deep within what his worth is in your eyes, independent of his livelihood. Lastly, please let this man be a witness to the greatness of Christ through his responses on these moments. Let the love of and for Christ fill his heart at this time so that he overflows, maybe even in a way he never has before, and that there would be new praise for you. I pray this day would become one that he looks back in for years to come as one where he came closer to you than ever before.
