Restoration for my marriage, and for my wife's hardened heart.

    Please pray for my marriage, and for my wife and I. On the 1st of December my wife came to me and asked for a divorce. After a lengthy conversation she admitted to and shared with me that she doesn’t feel like she’s in love with me anymore and has feelings for another man. I than discovered she has been involved in an emotional affair with this other man for 13 months now. My wife and this other man have already shared with each other that they have feelings for each other after this man told her he broke up with his fiancé. This is no doubt a result of both me and my wife having walked away from our relationship with God for the past several years. My current circumstances made me realize that what my wife is doing is what we did to God. I have chosen to walk back to God and have been cultivating and growing in a collaborative relationship with God and allowing him to restore completely my heart. My wife however is continuing to choose to be deceived by the evil one. Her heart is completely hardened as a result of my selfishness and greed having completely ruined and betrayed her trust in me. I have recognized my sin and given it up to God. My wife is reluctant and unwilling to forgive right now. I really do not want our marriage to end. We have 4 precious children, and they will be deeply affected by this. My wife seems convinced they will be just fine and won’t be affected at all but I know this is false. Please pray for restoration in my wife’s heart and that she stop believing Satans lies, pray that she remembers who she is in Christ, pray for me that I can show unconditional love to my wife even when it’s the most difficult, pray that my wife see the damage done by investing her heart and filling it with feelings and emotions found in another, pray that my wife recognize that our marriage can in fact be restored and reconciled by the power of The Lord, pray that I above all else continue to keep my focus on God and the joy and peace that he provides for me no matter the circumstances. In the power and love of God through Christ Jesus, I pray these things. Praise you Lord for your eternal and unending joy and peace.

    Father, it saddens me to see how the enemy works so hard to destroy marriages. It saddens me even more to see how so many of us play right into his plans knowingly and unknowingly at times. I lift up this marriage to You. I ask that You work miracles in Your divine way. I ask that You bring complete healing and restoration. I ask You to keep this family together for Your Name and for Your glory. Give this woman wisdom. Give her a forgiving heart. Let her turn from sin and return to You and Your ways with her whole heart. Thank You for what You’re doing in this man. Continue to encourage him and lead him to be the husband, father and leader of this family You’ve given him. Satan you have no authority over this family. They belong to Christ. Greater is He that is in them than you. Be gone from them in the Name of Jesus Christ. You are not welcome. I lift up this other man to You, Father. I ask You to convict him of sin. Speak to him even now and warn him to leave this woman alone alone. Give him ears to hear You and the fear to obey. Soften this woman’s heart and fill it with love for You, her husband and her family. Speak to her. Lead her by Your Holy Spirit. Shine Your light in the darkness and reveal Truth to her. Give her a desire to walk in Your ways and trust You completely. ALL things are possible with You, God. You are strong and mighty!! Thank You for the opportunity to pray and to pray for others. Thank You for answering my prayers!! Thank You for saving this family and sparing them from destruction. Children are not okay with divorce. You hate divorce and so should we. It separates and divides…it is not of You. Your plans for marriage and family are good. I thank You for my marriage and for my family. Protect us. Thank You for Your mercy and kindness. Thank You for Your great love. Bring this man peace. Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. I ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen! Fight the good fight, brother. Be encouraged! Keep praying! Keep Your eyes on Jesus.

    Praise to you Lord, for my brokenness, and making me into something beautiful. God please help me to keep my focus in you, your love, strength and find comfort in you. To find the peace that can only come from you. Thank you Lord, for instilling prayerful hearts in my brothers and sisters in Christ. Father God, I pray that you help me to see good in my wife Rachel as I struggle with the day to day in seeing her continuing to make the choices she’s making. Help me Lord God to keep giving you heart for healing, and to remember that circumstances do not dictate my joy in you. I love you God, in your holy name, Amen.
