Father, we release this son into Your hands. You love him more than his mother does, and we acknowledge that. You are his Creator and his very essence and destiny was Your idea. Carry him through, Father. We agree with Your word and Your ways. We thank You for Your immense love for him and Your plan to rescue his eternal soul from destruction. We trust in Your love, the work of Your Son on the cross, His suffering, death and resurrection. We know that His labor will bear it’s intended fruit that lasts forever. LORD Jesus, give this mom strength and faith as she must rely upon Your word and not what she sees and hears. Let Your grace overcome her disappointment and turn sorrow into joy. Let her faith be pleasing to You as she hopes and prays for her son and many other prodigals like him. Let her see the fruition of her prayers and know Your goodness, peace and joy in the midst of this son’s faithlessness. We ask for Your hedge of protection over this family through the blood of Jesus that every assault of the enemy would fail in Jesus’ name, yet, bring each family member even closer to Your heart and purposes for their lives and a greater joy that comes from knowing the One Who came to give life and life more abundantly. Amen.
