September 30, 2024 at 11:25 amHurricane Helene is battering the southeastern United States. At times like these, it is important that we pray and intercede for those affected by the storm.
September 30, 2024 at 11:26 amThe storm landed in Florida on Thursday night as a category 4 hurricane. It is the strongest hurricane to ever hit Florida’s Big Bend region, and the third hurricane to do so in under 13 months. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis confirmed that at least 2 people have died in the state. Over 1 million Floridians were without power on Friday morning, and many in the northern part of the state reported flooding.
September 30, 2024 at 11:31 amAs the storm moved on from Florida, it began to severely batter Georgia. The Peach State also saw several cases of flooding, as well as at least 7 deaths. As of Friday morning, over 1 million Georgians were without power as a result of Helene, which has now been downgraded to a tropical storm.
September 30, 2024 at 11:31 amAs Helene continues moving north, several states are being affected. Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina seem to have suffered the most, but states as far east as Mississippi and as far north as Ohio could still see at least local flash flooding. Rain and high winds are impacting much of the eastern United States, and some communities along the southeast coast are at risk of tornados.

Pray that God would protect people from the storm, that He would comfort the families of those who were injured or killed, and that He would empower the affected states as they rebuild and repair. Pray for the innocent animals.

Please ensure justice for people who have lost homes to get their fair compensation from insurance companies. Please restore power soon. Jesus, please restore sanitation soon. Jesus, please allow flooding to recede off roads so people can get in and out. Lord Jesus, please protect people from water born illnesses. Lord Jesus please protect animals. Jesus, we ask these things because you are the most powerful and you care and love more deeply than we could ever imagine. Lord Jesus, give crews strength and stamina as they clean up and look for people and pets. Lord Jesus, please restore hope and faith in this difficult time. Lord Jesus, be their provider of food and water. Thank you Jesus for your care over us. In Jesus mighty name we pray with faith and confidence that he hears our cries and is quick to deliver. Amen.

Move swiftly and decisively as only You can to restore everything that Helene has stolen from theses communities. And please we beseech You our gracious, caring LORD, allow them everything that is needed to build back better than before…
