I remember feeling like this years ago when I was just starting to get into the word. Thank God for putting these co workers in my life. I use to ask them the same thing. And they said there is no certain way. It’s a personal relationship , it’s a conversation with our Father. God knows what’s in your heart. He knows your thoughts. Continue to talk to Him. Pray to Him the things that are on your heart, remember don’t worry about if it the correct way, there is no wrong way when attempting to get closer to our God. He is so good!!!

Talk to Him the same way you would talk to your friend. He is your friend and the best friend you will ever have. Praise Him for all the things He has done, and is doing for you. Start each day by thanking Him for waking you up because He didn’t have to. Mention your needs to Him. He knows them, but He wants us to bring them to Him and like He says in His Word, He will meet our every need. There are books you can buy very reasonable now on how to pray, I have one that I have had since 2002 and it is still good, I mean really good.
