Struggling Teacher

    Hello All. I’ve been a listener for over 2 years now. I’ve listened with you and prayed with you all.

    I need prayers right now. I decided to go against many people at work and do the right thing on a difficult matter. Me doing what was right drew attention to those who did not and boy I made some enemies at work. I come home crying many nights because of the way I’m treated. I pray for them. I go to their offices and pray over their offices. Im not feeling strong enough lately to stand. I just want to give up. I work in a difficult urban setting and love the kids but the adults are sooo hard. I’m mocked faith. I know we walk through valleys. I just need relief .

    There is so much negatively in our program. I tried to fix it but it back fired . Please pray

    My sister Melissa in the eyes of God you did what is Right! Know this in this world you will face trials but be of good cheer ! God is on your side ! You chose the narrow path and it seems as if you are failing ,the others chose the wide path and it seems they are succeeding ! But guess what they are only leading themselves to destruction .

    I want you to know that the King of Kings is on your side ! Be kind to your enemies even if they mock you ! Pray over yourself and over everything you touch !

    I pray that the people frustrating you will not have PEACE until they start treating you as a decent human being ! Remember the story of pharaoh ! God did NOT give this man peace UNTIL he let the children of Israel Go! And guess what even after the children of Israel had left the damage was already done because of pharaoh’s own pride!

    You have so much power and maybe you don’t even realize ! You can pray and PULL down every stronghold of the enemy ! Yes you can and I am joining you tonight .

    Be of good cheer ! Those that are with you (angels) are more than those which are with them ! (Demons) so claim what belongs to you !
    Jesus has already worn this battle ! So don’t fret no matter how bad it looks ! Walk through the fire and know that it will Not burn you .

    Trust God ! Again I say to you with boldness TRUST GOD!

    God will honour you, take rest near him. I am praying now for your strength but also that God’s angel will come and guard you so others would stop their behaviour.
    Keep going dont give up, God will work this situation for the good because you honour him and did the right thing in his sight he will honour you.

    Don’t give up Melissa. Hold strong, continue to bear the armor of God each and every day at work. God will never leave you. He has a purpose for each and everyone of us. You are there for His reasons. Be blessed.

    I wanted to update. Glory to God. It is calm at work. I know I will have to fight battles with unseen powers around me because I am His. For now…. there is peace. I am deciding where to go from here. Meaning: am I called to a Christian school or to look into starting a service of my mine for special education students. I am waiting for direction:) thank you all for your prayers. Love you

    Lord, direct this teacher’s path and show her where her “ministry” lies. Give her authority and strength. Let people be won over to Christ because of her gentle strength. Bless her.

    Dear Melissa,
    The life of a teacher is such a bitter sweet journey as I learned after 35 years. Stand your ground for what is right. Do not let those who do not agree with you try to bring you down as eventually they will respect you for what you’ve done. Christian teachers in public schools are a perfect place to show the love of God. Why take the candle out of the darkness? The darkness needs light, be their candle. Stand firm! You have someone way bigger than their negative voices surrounding you.

    Bless your heart. As a retired teacher who had some strong run ins with fellow teachers, I can relate. I am glad things are calmer now. I taught music in the public schools of Kentucky for over 25 years. The last job I had is where I had the teachers who were not happy campers, to say the least. Long and short, I felt no choice but to resign. In short, I lost my job. About a year and half after that, I started teaching music at the community college. That was a better atmosphere, but I still had some who were not happy. I think that comes with the territory. Either way, I know that God brought me through all that and worked through me (and worked IN me quite a bit!)

    I pray that God leads you in what to do next as well as what to do for the moment. God bless you for the work you are doing with these special needs students. I know you make a huge difference in their lives, and that it is a tough ministry. Whatever you do, I know that God will work through you to bless the lives of those around you, whether they realize it or not. Keep up the good work. Take care, and God bless.
