My New Relationship

    Hello DAB Family.
    I am attempting to navigate a relationship with a wonderful woman. I am struggling because I don’t entirely know how to do this. I know she is attached to me as I am to her. It has been a wonderful time, but my own fears of abandonment get in the way. Unwelcome, unhealthy thoughts rage in my head. If I were to behave according to these thoughts and feelings I would destroy this relationship, so I have actively and earnestly began a battle against this dysfunction. I have identified the roots, triggers, and solutions. It takes a LOT of energy and prayer, but I will remain diligent and work hard. I know Satan loves these tendencies. He is constantly attempting to capitalize and I am sure he exaggerates the problem when he can.

    Please pray how the spirit leads for me in this matter. Bless you all!

    Dear Ken,

    I thank God because you do realize what the problem at hand is . You as a child of God have the Holy spirit of God in you. So tell God that you want to present your life and body to him as a living sacrifice. Tell the Lord God to DESTROY any evil tendency/ thoughts that come your way. Ask the Lord to fill you with Godly thoughts. The Bible says Resist the devil and he will flee from you ( James 4:7)

    If the thoughts that come to you are based on what you watch , then be sure to only watch what you would like for Jesus to watch if he were sitting next to you. Walk in close fellowship with God and let him see your heart as one that truly hungers for righteousness and slowly but surely these wicked thoughts will have to flee in Jesus name. I pray that you will be sensitive to the voice of the Holy spirit as he leads you in your daily walk with Christ.

    Finally I urge you to put on the full armor of God daily ( Ephe 6:10-18)
